      Yes we sun dry watermelon skins here, then slice them into very small pieces, saute, and then add in the sugar with the rest of the watermelon bits to make the jam

    Πολύ ωραία συνταγή θα την κάνω και θα την κρατήσω για 3και 4 χρόνια ακόμα.βαζω τα βάζα σε καυτό νερό και τα τοποθετώ σε πετσέτα στην σχάρα του φούρνου ανάποδα τοποθετω το ίδιο και τα καπάκια τριγύρω και στον φούρνο στον αέρα για 15' ακριβώς τον φούρνο τον ανάβω μαζί με τα βάζα και όπως είναι καυτά τα βάζα βάζω την καυτή μαρμελάδα βάζω το καπάκι σφυχτα και τα γυρίζω ανάποδα μέχρι να κρυώσουν εντελώς και μετά σε ράφι η ντουλάπι .Χαιρετισμούς από την όμορφη Ελλάδα ❤️❤️🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷 τον φούρνο στους 100 βαθμούς κελσιου

    I re-heated my jam in a pot and added pepper flakes to taste. Then, after simmering for a while, I re-bottled the "new" jam. Now I have a spicy jam which goes well with chicken or steak. My Dad used to cube the white part of the watermelon and pickle this like you would cucumbers for dill pickles. Mmmm!

    When I was little I remember my mom and grandmother making watermelon pickles together--so pretty! That was a long time ago--I am 75 now--seems like noone today does things like that. They canned peaches and pickled peaches together also. Sweet memories.

      I made two different batches of sweet pickled watermelon rind for my wife today. She loves it and I love getting them for her but aside from ordering online, it's difficult to find any. Tried two different recipes and have a handful more to go if these two don't work out for her.

    My grandma used to make watermelon rind preserves like these and also watermelon rind pickles which were also beautiful. She didn't blend hers though. She just cut the rinds smaller for preserves. Pear preserves are make in a very similar fashion and are equally delicious. We always put them in jars and canned them so we could have them year-round.

    у нас делали арбузный мёд. наверное точнее будет варенье. но мы называли это мёдом. продовали у нас в стеклянных банках тоже. но самое главное, что я помню когда у ребёнка язвачки во рту (как болезнь называется не знаю) давали чайную ложку этого мёда и всё проходило. Младенец и ребёнок с удовольствием ели этот мёд.

      Думаю, она не вводит в заблуждение. Она порезала именно ту часть, которую мы выбрасываем. Просто срезала твёрдую зелёную кожуру.

    We use a bow peeler to remove the rind. What remains can replace cucumbers in any pickle recipe. They don't get mushy even if frozen.

    In Turkiye (Turkey), we prepare jams, marmalades and candies with watermelon rind. For a nicer aroma we use cinnamon, cloves or lemon peel.

    Lo hago así: rayo lo blanco y la concha después de lavarla bien por la parte más ancha., le echo Canela, clavito la pongo a cocinar un poco y luego le echo azúcar y queda como un dulce de cabello de angel o zapallo.

    Добавьте желатин( быстродействующий без замачивания) и будет конфетюр.Можно добавить сливок , йогут ( любой), взбейте.По формам или по рюмкам, воткните палочки , и в морозилку.Мороженное бомба!!!👍👍👍

    fabulous .. yes rind is healthiest part ..
    if only i could find healthy non GMO watermelon in USA .. don’t label & NOW ..even organic ($8. per mellon) is chemical poisonous GMOawful .. learning to grow my own .. but seeds are getting scarce

      I buy organic and harvest my own seed's out of the fruit ! I put them in a baggie in wet paper towel and put in cupboard and keep about 5 days to a week ! They sprout 🌱

      Well first of all I will put Dawn dishwashing liquid all over my watermelon rind and polish it down and then wash it off before I cut it.

    Watermelon jam or jelly. One would think that pectin would be needed. But the pectin is in the rine. Or something similar. Looks very good. At first glance at this video, I thought watermelon rine pickles were going to be made. Another favorite of mine.
