I'm surprised to hear you say that you sometimes get unkind comments...I can't imagine how anyone could find you anything other than funny, charming and so down to earth and natural. I really love your videos on both channels so please keep doing what you do. Love from Ireland 🍀

Unfortunately, in Cuban culture, weight is a huge deal. And making constant comments about your weight. And then become offended if you react with hurt, or anger. Since moving to SC from Miami, I can only think of one person who seems to notice or care about my weight. Even doctors here don’t automatically assume any ailments are related to weight. Love this discussion!

It’s true. One principle that absolutely for everything. Everything grows like a tree. It starts as a seed. Day by day season by season, whatever it is, it will mature. It’s a matter of a consistency that never ends.

I've started keto a few years ago. Kept caving to the off plan foods & binging. I began carnivore in September and that has been a game changer. I was able to stick to it for Thanksgiving. First time in my 61 years I didn't overindulge in sweets! You both are an inspiration.

Carnivore has been a game changer for me as well. Especially when it came to inflammation. I have been whole foods keto/ketovore since mid October but then when I switched to Carnivore on January 1st, I couldn’t believe how much better I felt! My aches and pains are so much less! And I’m just starting this journey so I hope they will continue to improve.
But whether we are carnivore, keto or low carb, it doesn’t matter. As Dr Berry says…”it’s all part of the Proper Human Diet”

👋❤Hello Beautiful Emily and Beautiful Sarah🌹 I Thank God for you both and your Channels.
I have always felt the same way you both have especially you Emily 💔 and I'm 55 yrs old 4' 11" 😐278lbs
A couple months ago I was in the process of having Bariatric surgery, Because I could not afford to be perfect keto. I have watched so many of your videos and using my cheaper versions have made many of the 2 & 3 ingredient recipes and am slowly loosing weight. A couple weeks ago I discovered the Carnivore diet which I never thought I could do because I definitely cannot afford grass fed or organic foods. But I stopped the process for the surgery & decided to just do the Best that I can do.
You both look so amazing and I am so proud of your accomplishments ❤
Thank You for your honesty and in making me smile because of it. 🤗

Not disagreeing with you ladies, just wanted to share my experience. I had lost about 50 lbs doing ww then spent 6 years trying to maintain it. I had thought losing weight would make me happy but the stress of trying to maintain and hopefully lose a few more lbs was rough. I was already happy with my life, good husband, 3 amazing kids, etc, so the weight loss didn't add to that. And it was nice to hear people say I lost weight but I was still really self-conscious about how I looked.
Then I started doing keto because I noticed I felt better eating low carb. 40 lbs melted off and while it didn't add to my happiness, certain things did disappear. Like you guys were saying, I stopped thinking about how people thought I looked. I stopped being self-conscious. I would say relief more than happiness came with that weight loss, again, I agree, it was like a weight lifted off the shoulders.
Love you girls, keep up the good work! And one of these days I'm not going to fix autocorrect when I accidentally type, "keto up the good work" 😁

You two are such an inspiration. I had to start losing weight because of my health. Being in my 70's and overweight most of my life it was not easy to have to buckle down and remake my habits from bad to good. I am not strict keto, am a lot like you and am technically keto. I have lost 40 pounds but I am only about half way. However, I know I can do it. My husband bought some Costco muffins for the kids who were coming for Thanksgiving. I tried to eat one but couldn't do it. My body screamed at me so it went in the trash. If I had not tried then I would have been craving it, now I know it isn't good for me and my body is reminding me of that. I have no desire to try again. The remaining muffins went home with the kids. Thank you for being so uplifting and positive!

I've never heard a person voice what was in my head so well before. I would wake up thinking about what I can't eat today. I too was obsessed with eating. The minute I thought of losing weight I would have this overwhelming need to eat. Intermittent fasting, eating in a 6 hour window, is so easy. So much less pressure. This is so touching in so many ways. I love the way you've both explained how "the weight off of your shoulders" gave you so much freedom to not even care so much about how you look anymore. Also, how neither wanted to steal the spotlight at times when your weight was less than your twin's...that brought me to tear. I have really embraced the idea of "lifestyle change" and definitely not "diet" and it has stuck now and I am reaping in the benefits; lower blood pressure, no more migraines, less arthritic pain, no more severe and chronic heartburn, generally happier, and yes, significant weight loss but the weight doesn't matter anymore like I thought it would in the beginning. I forget how sick i was in the past and am getting used to feeling amazing as a norm. It's wonderful. Thank you both, love you both so much. You've been huge motivator and fabulous, honest teachers!! My husband always says we would all get along so well if we ever met, lol.

Good chat! My first weight loss journey was back in 2009. I had a "guys weekend" planned in New Orleans with my brothers for my 50th b-day. I busted my butt working out and ate like a bird for 5 months. Did I lose weight? Yes. Was it hard? Yes. Did anybody care? No. Over the next 10 years I put it back on plus more. Fast forward to March 2020 - pre-diabetes diagnosis. Now I had a real reason to drop the excess pounds. Enter the low carb/keto lifestyle. 2 1/2 years in to it I've dropped nearly 50 pounds and mitigated my T2D situation. Feeling good. Looking good. Living good. For ME! So... Happier now.
The only down-side I've encountered is that, at 63, when you lose a ton of weight, people think something is wrong. "Wow, you lost weight. Are you OK?" I get that a lot from people I haven't seen during the pandemic (which is almost everyone...).

I have to agree with every thing y'all said. I spent many decades yo-yo dieting. Once I would lose the weight, I lived in fear of it coming back and could feel it returning. I did every treatment and diet known and still ended up at 249lbs 13 years after having a gastric bypass. I found Keto early in 2020 and lost 75 lbs that year. I have stayed at the same weight since then. No more fear of the weight creeping back. But I do need to buckle down and lose about 40 more lbs. The difference is, I no longer live in fear or obsession over my weight. I will eat this way for the rest of my life, and it is SO FREEING. Also, losing the weight will not solve your problems or turn you into a supermodel. But you will be happier and more able to enjoy your life. I love watching your videos and get happy whenever I see a new one. Thank you for the great recipes and encouragement!

I was also very self conscious about what I was ordering in a restaurant because I would imagine the waitress or waiter thinking "no wonder you're fat the way you eat". So I would once again make jokes about myself. Over the years I lost and gained the weight but finally was able to keep it off after being on Keto. I'm now 64 and actually get told I don't qualify for the senior discount because you have to be 55. I can't begin to tell you what a good feeling that is. Thank you for this video ladies. I just found your channels this week and have been watching your videos. This one in particular resonates with me. I’m 65 yrs old and was put on my first diet by my parents when I was 11 yrs old and I have been battling my weight for 54 yrs. Never reaching a “healthy weight” for longer than a month and then gaining it all back plus more. I tried Atkins over the years several times with success only to go “off” and gain weight. I did Keto in 2017-2019. Lost quite a bit of weight, felt great mental clarity and got off my insulin for my Type 2 Diabetes.
But Covid hit and I returned to carbs and I’m now looking at a 75 lb. Weight gain. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
Your video has made such an impact on me that I’m returning to Keto tomorrow and this time making it a permanent lifestyle and not viewing it as a diet. That I believe is crucial to finally being successful and winning this war on my over weight status.
Thank you so much Emily & Sarah for your uplifting video. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊

I love you both! I love how honest and real you are. I am 57 years old, 5'10" and didn't really start fighting my weight until I had my daughter at 29 years old. When I had my two sons at 17 and 21 the weight just fell off afterwards. But that didn't happen with my daughter. The only way that I was able to get my weight down under 170 lbs was by taking pills and not only was it not healthy, it didn't last. I now have NAFLD and other health issues so have to lose the weight and I know the best way to do it is KETO. I started back in earnest a week ago and lost 8 lbs already. My goal is to lose 120 lbs and to be healthy and strong enough to be able to keep up with my grandchildren. Thank you for your channels, I follow both and watch everything. You inspire me!

Twins, Great content! I 1000% agree with this! I hava plaque that reads, "Nothing taste as good as Skinny feels"! I have lived that feeling and also believe it! Hence my reason for purchasing it. WE as a society are hyper-focused on OUR wt! We shouldn't be but we are. We cannot help it, it's all around us. That and I just don't like how I look and feel when I'm heavier. AND it was SO much easier to just do it vs the when, the what, the why, etc of NOT! Plus, that constantly worrying abt our next meal thing does seem to dissipate over time on Keto. This "dirty" Keto lifestyle has freed me up considerably with the help of CZcams vloggers such as yourselves. I literally couldn't have done it without you! SO this Thanksgiving I'm thankful for YOU! Tfs...
    Blessings from Iowa, Lauri

Love you girls and what you have done. I am doing well with low carb / keto and always check in on you guys to see what you are up to and learn a keto recipe hack. Please at some time, cover your hydroponic garden experience on a video. I am an avid gardner and now miss the things from our garden as our land is now resting. Thanks for what you do.

My journey was a bit different I had to lose weight for my health. I didn't care so much about the look but the I'll feel better. I'm sure if I were young woman I'd say it different than the place I came from. You two are cute and you were before the weight loss. I love your silliness and your attitude towards life.

Ladies!!! I feel like you’re sharing my story with every word. Always negative about myself, worrying people are judging me, laughing and making jokes etc. I lost 100 lbs before with gastric band, but have gained it nearly all back. I’ve now lost 40 with keto and have already changed my mind set that keto and IF are my lifestyle permanently and I think that has made the difference. I’m not just obsessed about the finish line. I have know this “technically keto” lifestyle is sustainable. Thank you!! ❤

Sarah! You look so cute with the high ponytail, it gives a nice preview of you with shorter hair! I think a bob that's just a little bit longer than that length would look so great on you! You should try some bobbed wigs on to say if you like it. I know you have tons of hair though, so a bob might not "hang" right.

Just being healthier and not being achy all over should make everyone happier. Most people don’t know that sugar and simple carbs (ie. Potatoes, pasta, bread, etc) that turn to sugar also IS WHAT MAKES YOUR JOINTS HURT!

I love you girls! I wonder if having these CZcams channels contributed to your happiness as much as losing weight did? I know what you mean, that that was like 90% of my daily thought content. I think my animals were the other ten. Here I am pushing 70 years old and it's still there. Not as bad, but not gone. I am sure it was programmed into me, but knowing that does not help. Sigh.

You ladies are so wonderful! Beautiful inside and out! I don’t comment on your videos often, only because I mainly watch them on tv and am not logged into a computer. I have struggled with my weight since I was in junior high.. I have kept about 70 pounds off for about 5 years which is the longest. Mostly doing “technically keto. About a year ago one of my very best friends passed from a brain tumor. We were each other’s accountability partners. The hurt of losing her as well as not having her support was so painful…that I fell into the SAD diet hole. I have gained about 35 pounds and say ugly things to myself everyday. Listening to you gals, I am hopeful I can restart and stay on track. I know how to do it…. I just can’t seem to stay on track this time. Somehow just sharing this, I am hoping will motivate me. I don’t expect you to respond…I really am just happy that you two are doing so well and willing to inspire and encourage us. This is just giving myself a pep talk….sorry for the rambling. Keep up the awesome work you do!

I appreciate your videos so much! I am restarting keto…again. You are both so relatable & say the exact things that I feel. I have a question…. What do you eat on keto when you’re sick or not feeling well? It is hard when you aren’t feeling well to turn to the comfort foods you are used to… chicken noodle soup, saltines, etc.

If we aren’t feeling well we usually fast until we regain our appetite. Chicken soup with cauliflower rice is good :)
