Great post. I think part of the difficulty in rating the Bear O-line comes from the fact that JF1 had a tendency to hold the ball too long and take sacks, which kept evaluations low. I think privately the Bears are thrilled with Jones and also thrilled with O Line coach Chris Morgan.
That is the reason I really like the pass-block-win-rate metric. No measurement is perfect but it really helps see performance individually….
Coach Waldron specializes in QBs getting the ball out quickly so hopefully this translates to good habits for Caleb.

Many of yall have read my comments on the Bears. I am a serious senior citizen die hard Bears fan .ive been critical because we need to not take anything for granted. We do have the potential to be competitive and make the playoffs. YES i did say that.🙂 . Please with that said we need to be serious and focused on conditioning and being fierce ON EVERY PLAY.

I can't figure out why some are so quick to want to replace Braxton at LT. The kid was a 5th round developmental tackle that worked his ass off and started since he was a rookie. Pretty slick pick by Poles.
Absolutely - he’s been great. If this year sees the penalties cut down, the bears have a complete LT.

Makes me wonder how much time supposed experts spend on individual player evaluations. I think fans soured on Braxton last season when his penalties came in chunks.
