Ive been Watching Brenden Rices career since he was a senior at Hamilton and I was a freshman, when he committed to going to USC my fav college football team I was excited but now hes going to the Los Angeles Chargers my fav NFL team!!!! I was emotional when he got drafted and all he said to me once was "nice to meet you big dogg." Just as a fan of the game and Watching this guy do his thing since freshman year I cant be more happy for him I feel like we both got drafted lol.

Condolences to Brenden as well all of the family members and friends of his beloved best friend. Very bittersweet moment no doubt, but forgive me for saying Bolt Up Brenden. Welcome to the Chargers family. I have a very good feeling about Brenden and how he is going to impact the Chargers. I can’t wait until he hits the field and shows what he can do. I believe that he’s going to make a name for himself in his own right.

Good god Joe Hortiz is just… almost actually the more home run hire than Harbaugh… I know guys, I know that’s crazy… but A. Look at how good his first draft was, yes they can all turn out to be busts, but I think we all know he hit home runs and tripled in nearly every round… and B… this dude is such a… human, with raw emotions… looking back on TTs calls to prospects… so short and robotic… Joe gets emotional with these players, he’s almost teared up like 3 or 4 times… I love a GM that’s so involved and thorough and straightforward with his GM process but still is a good person and talks like a normal person and understands the emotion and dreams the game carries for the players and fans…

@@johndavis6719I’d imagine Darius Davis will remain as a bit of a niche specialist guy. He’s great on Special Teams and has the speed to make some plays in the flat. He’s too valuable on ST to let go so maybe posting him as WR is just for depth purposes?
DJ Chark provides a year of veteran presence to help guide the rookies and QJ. (Let’s forget about year 1 QJ) We probably shouldn’t expect him to be around longer than next year unless he resigns.
Ladd, Cornelius, and Brenden will all make the cut. We need depth and they fill specific roles J Herbo will need to backup that run game. We needed weapons and Joe Hortiz went out and got the Chargers a whole future.
That leaves Palmer and QJ. Palmer provides familiarity with the org and something kind of slept on. Moments where he can pull a young guy aside and say “Keenan showed me this.” Or “I seen Mike Williams do that.” He’s an asset to the Chargers for steering the ship a couple more years while QJ and the rooks develop. He did work holding down the team when the stars got hurt. Jim and Joe certainly recognize that.
We’ll see what happens with QJ. He either turns it around or we see him in new colors around the time Chark leaves.
