Love to recycle; there are many laptops in the landfill and they don't need to be. Helpful video. Adorable addition with the puppet. Would love to see more of them. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. You are so smart. You are my favorite go to people with a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for the tips and insight!

I thought maybe you were going to show us how to replace the battery and get past the lost password of our old laptop. Is it even worth messing with? I could use a old laptop to monitor the solar energy system I want to build and our household energy in general. Thanks, and keep the sense of humor.

Cinnamon is a good distro , and can run on older hardware very well .

Interesting. Burned the battery of my old laptop unfortunately, so maybe for a future "old" computer in the house.

as long as your laptop still turns on without a battery it will still work, just needs to be plugged in .

What's a dvd? Shouldn't you use Rufus and create a bootable USB stick? LOL. Just kidding buddy. I'm hoping they release ChromeOS free too, so we have another option. Love the puppet too. Good job.

Thanks Trent I remember a time when Dos and windows 3.11 was installed from 1.44 Mb floppy disks . Long gone are those days !

Windows 10 install on floppy disk is a mind-blowing 4478 floppies. Order yours today, comes with a 58L Rubbermaid tote to hold them all in, and 3 sets of encyclopedia to read while you wait for the install. Also some tannerite to blow it all up when you get to disk 4183 and it won't read. Why would you be upset after 18 weeks of install to have it not complete? ROFL
