Avant Carde is a 1-5 player competitive deck-building game designed by Mary Flanagan and Max Seidman, illustrated by Ishita Banerjee, and published by Resonym, who helped sponsor this video!
In Avant Carde, you want to build a collection of stunning cubist artwork. You'll begin with a starting deck that may not be the greatest, but as the game continues you'll purchase and get rid of various cards in order to build a truly award-winning art exhibit! Are you up for the challenge?

Thanks for the video!
In typical me fashion, I did some research on the game to see if it is a worthy game to back, checking the KS page's and clicking the links. Amongst the particulars include how the starting decks differ from each other (the two-color circle icon indicate the two 2's non-grey colors), if the game is colorblind friendly (icons for each color, e.g. blue triangles, pink waves, orange checker), and if the instructions and patron cards are clear. Also playing the game in my head, I agree with the reviews that it boasts some similarities to favorites like Dominion, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Uno and Paperback. And it plays simple and quick which fits my repertoire of games...
TL;DR: QED: Final verdict: backed the KS edition. :)
Ooooo happy to hear you are picking it up, we can’t wait to play the final KS edition! It just feels like a truly special game.
Thanks for the clear explanation. Appreciated!
Thanks so much for watching!
Great how to play! Looks fun!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
This looks fascinating.
It feels quite fresh.
@@kovray Yeah, it's an interesting mash-em-up of a few other concepts, like tableau building, deck building, and rummy. How different is the solo variant?
