Van design tips to accommodate traveling with dogs. Our van was built with 2 dogs living with us in mind, a Golden Retriever & a Samoyed. We designed the van to make it easy for us to keep the van clean after taking them out for some outdoor fun, their storage and how to keep them traveling with us as comfortably & safely as possible.
Hopefully this video can give you some ideas on your own build if you’re traveling with pets!

I LOVE how you have designed your van with your furbabies in mind. Great idea with the 2 water stations and especially all the storage for the their things. I have 2 big dogs--German Shepherd and Lab and wondered how it would ever work with a van. Thank you so much for sharing this ---gives me a lot to think about. My dogs also sleep with me.

This is exactly what I've been searching for!! I have 2 big collies and have been struggling with designing around them (where they hang out while you're driving, showering them, etc.) and not anything else (bed, toilet, etc.) Thank you!!! Love love your van setup!

this is authentic I have verified this video as real life with dogs...me? Oh I have 5 large dogs and a van...hahah...im in the middle of building our E350 out and will be going with the same type of design as far as dinette/bed combo...my whole build is around the dogs to have space...I love the tree painting on the wall...

Thank you. That’s the first video I’ve seen that considers the needs of the dogs only. I will be travelling with 1 large and 2 medium dogs. In the U.K., we are not allowed to have the dogs loose between the seats when travelling, they have to be retrained. I.m in the planning process at 5he moment. I’m now looking to take out the passenger seat and have some sort of dog seatbelt idea, or a full kennel under a double bed.

Being a Dog Lover I am impressed with your layout. You have showed me areas where I can build compartments to store my Doodles supplies. I love the wash areas…I will definitely need to install for convenience. My Doodle is 96 pounds and loves mud and sand 🤦♀️ and that’s ok. Thank you for sharing and giving me some great ideas for my Doodle…it’s been a question!

We are going to use a campervan to move from our island in the Caribbean to British Colombia with our three big dogs (2 Dobermanns and one island mixed breed) and are looking for a layout and if it's even possible! I really like your van and your beautiful dogs! Thanks for the little tour!

This is really interesting as..I was thinking that I loved your camper van mannered and everything..one day, my partner and I would love to live inside the camper van with our future pet dogs (Shih Tzu & Golden Retriever) and also together with wifi as well for the camper van too. Im really glad you’ve got 2 dogs also. Oh! Our other future pet cats (4 female Persian too).

Dirt is actually a light color. Dirt shows up more on dark cars. You should have gone with a lighter colour cupboards.
Love the video, me and my wife will be building a van with 2 Aussies in mind. I had a question about keeping tha van cool and would love your opinion. Do you guys have 2 max air fans for better circulation or just the one?
Glad you like it! If we had to redo the van, we would probably do a 2nd max air fan or an ac unit to help with circulation. We recently changed our back window to ones that can open to help with the circulation as well. Hope this helps!
Cool video! With the cost of rent these days that’s what I’m basically considering doing… I was debating on buying a giant camper van versus just a cargo van I have two golden retrievers… I might get a third one… I would like a giant motorhome… That would be ideal… That would be the dream…
You can do it! Try renting an RV to see if it works for you and your lifestyle first if you want to give it a test run!
Love this, I'm looking for a build I can use for work (pet transport) when not traveling. This looks like someone smarter than me could easily figure out a conversion for crash tested crates to be built in somewhere that could maybe serve as storage when traveling with my own pets and not clients? Hmmm

Great video! Can you share what camera and temperature control device you use? Also, is Visible’s hot spot consistently reliable? Do you also have any alarm system? I have a 12 pound pup and look forward to traveling with him. Thanks for the great tips!

-For the temp sensor we use the Grove wifi thermometer amzn.to/3wWN2IK
We’ve been using Visble for while now, its not the fastest (we average about 2-5mbps) and it’s good when it has good reception. It uses the Verizon network so anywhere that has Verizon it works. So far been reliable!
Great video, great information, also have two big dogs myself and look to accomodate them in a van. But just a friendly advice if I may? Next time, would you cut down on the unnecessary background music? For one, it's way too loud and it's making it harder to hear what you're saying. Besides that, we don't need that extra sensory stimulation, do we? I know I don't.

@@RinaandMichael I was just talking to my wife about making a room addition to our home so that I could have a youtube studio that is separated from the house and soundproof it. But if I get an RV like this then when we want to do a road trip we can use it for this too, can't do this with a room addition

Hi, What wifi system are you using for the Wyze camera and the Temperature sensor? We have two dogs and would really like to be able to monitor them when we leave them in the van.
Hi Jillian, we’re currently using a mobile hotspot with Visible service. That’s connect to our wireless router, which connects the camera and temp sensor

What do you do if it gets too hot while you're away?
If we’re in a climate where it’s too hot, we have a portable A/C that we turn on for them! We recently got the IcyBreeze which is like a portable A/C using ice
Do you guys ever do activities without them when traveling and if so where do you leave them ?
We do! When we go to national parks, cities or other non-dog friendly places, they stay at home (in the van)!

@@stormillenium8360 yes this is our home! We try and stay out of hot climates that needs AC to ensure they’re ( including us) are nice and cool!
Where do you stand in the shower? The toilet bowl takes up all the space.
we take out the toilet when we shower, it’s portable
It would be nice if you have an air conditioner sensor to turn on the air conditioner to keep the van comfortable for them when you guys are out.
thats a nice feature! We make sure the temps are comfortable within the van before we go out, and we’ve been trying to stay out of super hot climates all together!
