His last 4 UFC fights wins over Chito, Munhoz, Font then a super close loss to Merab. I think he felt like not being able to beat Merab he wasn’t able to compete with the best, maybe UFC felt the same way. Now we know how good Merab is, Aldo is still a savage and I believe that’s why he’s back!

UFC fighters that have one fight left, and publically say they want to fight boxing after MMA are idiots.
11 yrs STRONG! No one could beat him! One punch changed ALL that....I think Connor dodged Jose (wouldn't give him a rematch) and the universe gave him Khabib as punishment.
To be honest, the fact that the UFC denied Aldo an immediate rematch after his loss to Conor completely changed my view on the UFC. It was like the magic was broken. I have never bought a pay per view ever since that night in 2015. I know that me buying a pay per view or not is completely irrelevant, but not giving Jose Aldo an immediate rematch against Conor changed my view on UFC forever. I know that is silly, Aldo himself probably doesn't take it as seriously as me, but they lost my respect, I can't explain. Since that fact happened, I have been following MMA marginally, through youtube (like these channels) and occasionally checking up MMAfighting or MMAjunkie.

@@tboss913 MUCH different. 1. Connor took a while to ask for one. 2. There was REAL beef there. Khabib would die before giving Connor the respect of a rematch. I see where you're coming from, but the circumstances were different. Plus, EVERYONE thought Jose shold have got another crack at Connor. Not too many people were demanding Khabib v Connor 2

Chael, you keep bringing up that you would like Max to defend the BMF belt, but according to Sean O’Malley and Tim Welch, you don’t get ppv points for defending the BMF belt. You always said there is a reason Masvidal never defended it and that it’s bc the UFC didn’t wanna have to pay him ppv points so it didn’t get defended. So my question is,
Do you agree or disagree that the BMF belt doesn’t get ppv points? And if not, does it change your opinion about whether or not Max should defend it!?
Part of getting gaethje to do ufc 300 was they gave him ppv points.
