Hi! I just came from Reddit to see your videos.... I have one suggestion with your night angel wheel.... Try putting some mineral oil on the bearing in the back that makes it spin. It could be noisy because the bearing needs to get lubed up. I read that somewhere else so I have yet to try it myself but I have a night angel wheel and is it ever fantastic! Great video!!! I'll watch more when I can!

Regarding the wheel: have you considered placing the wheel upside down hanging attached to the wire on the tank topper? I have got my two wood wheels installed this way since last year with no issues. I attached them by using two foldback clips. Hey Mario, thank you for commenting and for trying to help. I have tried hanging the wheel upside down at 1 point when I initially got it, but when the gerbils run in it the wheel shakes and the whole entire cage cage shakes and it rustles the water bottle and stuff and makes an even louder noise. I'm not too sure how to avoid that.

@@victorc4_1234 So I checked around on Petco, Amazon and PetSmart USA. Amazon was quite pricey for the good food and for shipping, but I was able to find one for you at Petco that I recommend and then one for you at PetSmart which is actually the one that I was using before I made their homemade mix.

Love your videos, thank you for this! I have a little question for you : is there a reason you're using rat&mouse lab blocks instead of the hamster&herbil lab blocks? Is the rat&mouse one better for our gerbs? đ
Hey thank you much for your kind words, you made my day! To sort of summarize the answer for your question it's just a personal choice based on ingredients and nutrition levels. I found the fiber to be too high at 15% in the gerbil food, it's a about half that in the rat diet, The protein in the rat diet is only 5% more than it is in the gerbil food, which is something I also accounted for as I do make my homemade gerbil food. I also made the personal choice not to include any alfalfa based diets for what I feed to my gerbils, so those are my 2 reasons for choosing the rat version. The rat version also does not have any alfalfa in it.
There is a youtuber called munchies place, and I believe that they have a video where they compare the hamster and gerbil version & the rat version of the foods. I believe they ended up saying that the rat version was actually better for the hamsters, so if you're interested that may be something to check out for some more information. While hamsters and gerbils do require different things, their nutrition can also be quite similar, So that's why I suggested the video.

They refused to use it :( I loved the idea of the carbon charcoal filter so I'm disappointed lol :(

Your best bet will be to check second hand sites, Some pet stores also offer coupons, for example I know petsmart offers a coupon for 25% off all you have to do is beat the game in their app. So that could help you save some extra bucks as well.

If you donât already have a gerbil or one picked out I would stalk sites like Craigâs list or pre-loved daily and wait for a gerbil that comes with cage. Most are either horror stories or subpar but if youâre patient youâll see one that comes with a good setup
