A basic showcase of my minion build for the Trial of the Fool in Hollow Knight. Dream Shield can be replaced with Shaman Stone or Grimmchild+Thorns of Agony.
you can easily cheese last boss with this build, just stick to the top most section of wall (i was on left) It wouldn't take that long, and not worth the risk if first ever encounter with that boss

After three days of losing, this build finally worked for me. Thanks for posting this. It was still a bear, honestly. I was near dead during the phase where the walls come in. NOT attempting this trial again any time soon.
I finally beat this trial with a modified version of this build 🥹 I used weaversong, dreamshield, hiveblood and unbreakable heart. Just took it nice and slow and let hiveblood regenerate where possible. Dreamshield is a life saver in the no floor section.
@@Pr1est0fDoom I used Grimmchild instead of Glowing Womb because the hatchlings leech soul. I also subbed Unbreakable Heart in place of Dream Wielder + the extra charm notch from the Grimmchild/Glowing Womb swap because I found that the minions were killing enemies before I had the chance to dream nail them, making the supercharge moot. At any rate, I can't thank you enough; this challenge was really getting to me. I had zero issues with the first two and then this one came in and completely leveled me. I didn't really even have a problem with the no floor zone, it was mainly all of the teleporting/projectile shooting soul enemies.
Need to say Thank youuuu so much, you inspired me to finally try those nail arts (107%, 100 hours, never used them) and your setup was really good! swapped the womb for thorns of agony and spore shroom (for that extra damage cause i know i get hit A LOT, and thorns helped a bunch on those floorless phases) and, even though i died some 20 times after watching you, it was mostly me practicing the arts so it was fine. When i got the hang of them i managed to reach last boss with full health and full soul! Gotta admit, I pulled some moves that even i can't believe xD I'm really, and i mean REALLY, bad at this game. I love it a lot but it doesn't love me lol I've been trying and dying to this gauntlet for 4 days, died maybe 100 times. Something that helped with the arts was, since i play on PS4, i swapped the attack button from square to R1, cause jumping with x and holding square was really not it. Hope this tip helps someone who's struggling too. Lastly, I cheesed both brooding mawlek and last boss (cling to top of walls and your children will do the works) cause I was too stressed out and sweating buckets in fear of dying so I said fuck it and took the safest route, other than that, this entire thing really needs a git gud strategy which sucks cause I'm all about cheese strategies lolol Again, thank you!
Bruh doesn't have grimm child Btw dying to nkg wouldn't end the run since it's a dream (Don't know why but radiance is the only dream boss that spawns a shade, like sure they're the god of dreams but nkg is the god of the nightmare realm and doesn't spawn one so lore is weird)
Yeah, I had Carefree Melody. There's not enough room in the build for every single minion without taking off Nailmaster's Glory and Dream Wielder, and there's no way I'm taking them off, they are the best charms for the Colloseum. I also wouldn't want to give up the movement speed and Soul generation on the little weavers.

After like 50 tries I still haven't beaten this Trial. This minion build might be my only hope! I'm going to get the game back out and give it a shot!

I play on keyboard, but I imagine swapping the button bindings for controller is a very useful tip.
That was Filthy!!! I think I've greatly underestimated the Dream Shield.
Use grimmchild and defenders crest aswell, grimmchild for extra damage, and defenders crest to make the glowing womb boys explode
