  • Introducing the Gachapon linear switch, the latest masterpiece from HMX. Designed for an exceptional typing experience, these switches feature a T4 stem that delivers a rich and slightly deeper sound profile. The PA12 top housing has been carefully selected by the designers to provide a subtle, less clacky top-out sound while still having a nice full sound level.
To avoid a dull auditory experience, KeyOL opted against a pure PA66 bottom housing. Instead, they incorporated PA66 with 30% fiberglass, resulting in the classic solid and poppy bottom-out sound that HMX switches are renowned for.
For me, the combo of the T4 stem and PA12 top housing was pretty smooth out of the box and was a slightly softer feel when bottoming out. I liked these much more than the Evas but not as much as the Xinhais. Also, while I tested these on an aluminum plate, I'd recommend trying out a softer plate material like PP or POM to really let the softer vinyl shine.
Hope you enjoy the sound test!

Does the travel feel like regular 4.0mm switches?

Yes, i didn't notice a difference with my others with the exception of a slightly softer/deeper bottom due to the unique nylon blend they are using
