Gurmitter Singh's Water Efficient Farming

Water scarcity is one of major challenge of our times and particular in Punjab this is one of the most talked about issue. Future of Punjab is related to future of Water, its efficient use and our constant effort to gain highest water efficiency in Agriculture.
Gurmitter Singh, 44 years , studied up to 10th class has taken this issue of water as a personal challenge and as a personal duty to serve Punjab. After experimenting with his ideas for over 5 years now He has devised a system and practice to use very less amount of water.
Gurmitter Singh is owning 3.5 acers of land in his native village Baghour inTehsil Khanna of District Ludhiana. He is practicing organic farming in one patch of 1.75 acers and rest of his land is given on lease to his neighbouring farmer. He is concentrating on his research on Organic Farming mainly to increase Water use Efficiency.
He is a role model for farmers, Kheti Virasat Mission feel honoured to present this short film on Sardar Gurmitter Singh and his work.
