It annoys me all the lads who take their truck off thr Road for a week or 2 get it professionally cleaned loads of bits resprayed etc then enter it as a "working truck"

To do your catwalk get hold of an old long pile carpet cut it in to hand size pieces put your polish or metal polish on ,you will find its easier to clean with . (Watch the Boston trucker vlogs)

There will be people saying..why go all through that trouble cleaning there trucks when it's not even there's....the fact is...its there home for the week...sometimes longer...thats why they do it....by the way. Well done jemma.

Jemma I just don't know how you do it so professionall you are a credit to your trade and beautiful. Cannot drive a medium car very well let alone what you drive love your channel always watching drive safe out there
Good Video as always Jemma. Might be worth trying Belgom Alu on the metal surfaces. It works with stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass and I have always used it when polishing aluminium wheels as it leaves a protective film behind which keeps the surface brighter for longer and also offers a small amount of cut to remove any light tarnished areas. If you need a good degreaser ask your Autosmart dealer for G101 (im guessing they still make it) its pretty good at cleaning plastics and grease off parts. DA polisher is good for applying finishes to paint work as there is less chance of over heating the paint and burning it but a rotary is far better for any cutting of paint work or metal polishing. Might also be handy to know that Sealey do a 3 inch (75mm) polisher which could help with getting in to the tighter areas but it is just a rotary polisher though
Love your dedication Jemma. For what it’s worth I find diesel is pretty good for cleaning 5th wheel grease prior to washing.

I know it's a lot of work to prepare a truck for a major event. Here we can see the necessary steps. You've worked hard on Saturday to clean your lovely Scania and the end result was a very pretty and shiny lorry. Too bad she became dirty again during the week. I wouldn't want to be a judge either, because I couldn't score the trucks objectively. Everybody has a favourite brand or model, which means he/she will be biased a little bit. But I think the most important thing is the experience itself. When the crowd, especially the kids checks out these sparkling clean mighty machines. Awesome vlog as usual Jemma. Have fun in Devon and I'm sure people will appreciate your nifty viking warrior. 😊😍

It’s great watching your videos Jem your a credit to the haulage industry and commitment is second to none . Just been reading June edition Truck and Driver covering your story which is great .
My grandad and dad both drove lorries so I was hooked from an early age lol . I don’t do it myself sadly but where I work we have 3 Scania 6x2 skip wagons and 1 8x2 ro ro which I get to move around with permission from my boss . One is only a month old .
I always wanted to be a lorry driver but went into the metal industry instead .

Oh Jemma 😢 all that hard work and you get sent to the quarry 😢😢😢 I'd be gutted. I used to do flour tankers and bulk feed before, so I would clean and polish the truck as I would be on flour and then come back to the yard and they be like, oh sorry mate but you're on feed tomorrow. Arghhhh 😂😂😂😂 but it is what it is have fun

Hi Jemma Fantastic video the attention to detail on cleaning is exceptional.I spent 25years in the Transport business before retiring and I have never witnessed cleaning of vehicles to this standard. Can not wait to see the Show video, Regards Crawford

Always love your videos, makes a great start to a Saturday! It must be so depressing after spending all that time cleaning the truck just to get out at the quarry look at the sides and wheels and think why? But then I guess that the time spent with your friends cleaning the trucks down is half the fun. Good luck with the truck show even if you are not being judged!
Thank you, yes although once there is a good polished layer it does make it easier to clean so not all was lost thankfully 😅

That's some real commitment needed for showing the truck off Jemma, can't believe how much effort you put in - but it did look excellent when you'd finished, shame about those mucky quarries! Another great video Gemma, you are a credit to your employer and the industry in general,i very much enjoy vehicle cleaning and have tried lots of different brands and products and I find that Bilt Hamber products are the best, their entire range is brilliant from APC, snow foam,car wash fallout remover up to their polish and wax, I use them on my own car and truck that I drive and find the brand is good value for money with great cleaning and anti corrosion properties.
Thanks for the update Jemma. I've only took a truck to Truckfest twice in the early nineties first time me and my mate two ERFs we put everything into it but that last week you seem to get every dirty dusty job going it's quite stressful thanks again.
Indeed. When the weather is against you I certainly does feel like that. The carnival club had an ERF and I loved driving it. Great trucks ☺️

Looking forward to see the show. I can believe how much energy you have. We wash our trucks ever day & when they are 18 months old they get moved along. No one spends the time like you do & the trucks are new, so much easier. I like Auto gym also. The ceramic coat is really good. Used it last week.

Jemma, many thanks for getting the vlog out to us whilst you were so blooming busy. Great work on cleaning the truck up even though it's not going on to be judged. I've had judges pull on the white cotton gloves in the past and once, it even got so close they were inspecting fastenings to ensure they were OEM 😮 by the way, you can't beat a good spag bol. Enjoyed the vid, it’s interesting that you went right past my place on the A379 this week. The road closures down here have been a right pain and clogged in Modbury on Tuesday with traffic, understand your frustration. Enjoy your weekend.
Yes it’s a shame there were no signs in totnes to warn us. At least we could of made alternative routes and yes the way through modbury doesn’t need more traffic than normal at any time. Hope it’s sorted soon ☺️

Wains are lucky to have you and the truck looked fabulous after all your hard work. It is a credit to your dedication and determination that you take pride in the appearance of your vehicle. The dirt will come off easily with the polish underneath. G101 also works on windscreen flies (on coaches). If I lived close, in my retirement, I would volunteer to help with the cleaning .
