guys its about that time to drop the gas tank on the chevy avalanche. after testing fuel pressure we decided its time to replace the fuel pump. instead of cutting a flap like everyone does, I decided to drop the entire tank and do this without cutting into my truck. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Yes this is a big job, especially without a lift. Glad that you came out of this unscathed. I give you cred for the hard work. I probably would have opted for the fuel pump door mod. But that's just my engineering side talking. 😅 I pray everything works out for you.

Was the fuel pump expensive & where did you order from? I just found a fuel leak that seems to be coming from the top of the tank. I'm hoping it's just a hose but I might have to replace fuel pump on my 07

I'll be doing this soon. I am running my tank empty first though, lol !! All of those evap lines, their fittings, do you just squeeze them and then they pull out?
Yes they squeeze out but they can be a bit of a problem
I made a door underneath the driver side rear seat for that job!
I was going to take that approach but i I just couldn’t find it in myself to cut my truck lol
@@Kingcustomz I cut an overlapping piece off of a junk yard Avalanche so that I would have the same thickness of metal , some sealer and a few screws and ready for a 30 minute change out of pump.
The evap tank sometimes has small balls in the hoses from a bad evap tank. Does your evap lines have stuff in them? A air compressor can blow them out. Can you show the condition of your evap canister? Great video!

man dropping the tank isnt hard, it's really just disconnecting the lines and then the two straps. it's a pain when things a rusted though
need to see where fuel filter is located. I can't find it.not under driver side
If you can see a fuel filter on the frame rail under the drivers door. Then chances are your avy doesn’t have one. It’s a non serviceable one in the gas tank
Do you want to drop my tank? It has 6 left nes as mine is a dual tank system. It was the only year that came that way as far as I know. It may have been in the 02 but not the 04 2500 series. To replace all the lines it would cost 550 for the lines and 600 for the labor. I had one line done . The mail one and it cost me almost 300.00. It was the main line to the front of the truck.

oh gosh on the running board cover lol. yeah definitely get the fuel pressure kit... I would recommend harbor freight but those kits suck lol. the one on amazon is actually good, unless you find something else you like, just let me know what you get. and I think I'm going to replace my lines as well, let me look into it and I'll definitely get back to you...... keep watching the videos so you can see where I got mine, or follow me on instagram @ king__customz... My truck doesn’t have a fuel filter it’s built into the pump. Other avalanches have it on the rail under the drivers door
Yeah ... Learned the hard way ... Changed the gas pump twice to find out the filter was a tampon attached to gas pump ... 😂 At least I change the gas pump with my eyes closed now ... Thanks

I am 61 now, it really sucks, lol. Hey I guess I have some kind of privilege, I wish to hell I could figure out what it was lol. So far grass allergys, dirt in hair and eyes, to those liberals out there, I have a bone to pick with you, lol

@@Kingcustomz it does, I have several ruptured disk, chronic fatigue syndrome. Fibromyalgia, and sometimes I literally cry getting to my feet. I got so bad I had to call my wife from the other room and try to help me , but I was shaking so bad I couldnt type on my phone. I sleep most of the days, I have recently had to set up a alarm on my phone to try to wake myself up. My wife tried to wake me before for 5 minutes and I wouldnt awaken. My disk are deteriorated in my back real bad.
