As long as PHARDRA and the her two handsome sons are O.K., I always took her side. She was a good wife and mother, he had no reasons to go and do what he did. I thought KANDI would stick with her because they were really good friends, and I liked both of them, but KANDI took his side because he was her husband friend. So his new wife see a side of him that PHAEDRA had the shock of her life, she didn't see none of that coming.
They also forgot that 1. Kandi and Todd got together because of Phaedra 2. The men only became friends because the ladies were close friends. 3. Todd and Apollo are friends but they were no way as closed as Kandi or Phaedra.

I'm not surprised, I remember that season of RHOA where he got caught, the way he'd speak to Phaedra had me scared for her.
Yeah but don't forget Phaedra met Apollo in prison, because she was his lawyer when he got caught scamming old people. Phaedra started dating Apollo while he was in prison and when was released Phaedra let Apollo come stay with her, because he had no home. That's they ended up together because she represented him on his case, and then when he was released she gave him a place to stay and they got married and had kids. Apollo was still scamming and doing criminal activity the whole time he was with Phaedra, she just kept quiet about it because that's how they was living the top of lifestyle they were.

Phaedra never said anything about Apollo, Phaedra, and Angela scamming together and Apollo going to prison so Phaedra didn't have to. That would explain why Phaedra was in on Apollo lying about Kenya on the show and her hiding his criminal activity the second time he got in trouble and went to prison, before they got divorced.

This made me re-evaluate the garage scene between Apollo and Phaedra on RHOA before he went to jail. I get why Phaedra left the house until he turned himself in and got security. At the time I feel that Kandi and Cynthia were on Apollo’s side because of their husbands were friends with him and kind of gaslighting Phaedra actions.

Kandi and Cynthia wouldn't do that if they truly knew Apollo was beating on Phaedra. The thing with Phaedra is she was quiet about a lot of things that was going on in their marriage, because Phaedra and Apollo were both lying on the RHOA for their storylines. Don't forget Production was going to fire Phaedra after her first season on RHOA, because she was boring. That's why when Kenya and Porsha came on the show Apollo lied about Kenya propositioning him for sex at a hotel in California, and Phaedra made up that lie about Kandi and Todd trying to drug and rape Porsha in their dungeon. Not to mention Phaedra hid the fact that Apollo was still involved in illegal activity and that's how they were living a nice lifestyle. Kandi and Cynthia weren't gaslighting Phaedra because they were not the one's who were emotional abusing, lying, and trying to manipulate Phaedra, Apollo was doing that by himself.
