its got an almost echoey piano vibe, like you’re walking along some underwater temple with giant windows and you can see all the light from the surface rippling around, pretty ethreal stuff
It sounds very much like a piano, especially near the end. It was beautiful indeed.
It sounds echoey bc he used digital reeverb on postproduction
When I listened to it I was wondering if he overlayed some piano chords over that.
The audio has reverb and a piano accompaniment in the background lmfao

Submerging a guitar in water means that it will never be played again. You knew that, the guitar knew that, and you both agreed to do it for one final performance. This is more than music, this is truly art.
Where do you know about agreeing? She was forced.
Why not?
I love how artistic you made "ruining a guitar for views" sound lol
She was asking for it -- asking for months and months and she got what she wanted, what they both wanted.@@Tatokala

My grandmother died 3 weeks ago. She was dying in her sleep and we found her slowly losing more and more breath, her pulse getting weaker. We could hear her lungs filling w fluid just from the sound of her breath and all of a sudden she cut out. Her pulse stopped, and the ambulance arrived late, and i felt warmth leaving her fingertips. I was alone with her before the ambulance took her and she gave me one last final breath. This song is that to me. All the emotions I felt then came up when i heard this song just now. She had stage 3 cancer, early onset alzheimers, and had 2 strokes prior, w some heart issues and kidney issues. I was her main caretaker, I stood by her thru all that pain and changed her bandages, did PT with her, cooked for her, cleaned her poop pee everything. I love you mamu. Thank you for this song, Bernth
Thank you for taking such good care of her 🌹 you just told me everything I needed to know about you. Ask for her to come visit you as an animal token like a bird or butterfly, so you know she's happy and free. Bless you 💚

The amount of stress this man must’ve felt to not mess up
He may likely have a ton others like it?
Yep, think about an iceberg, the tip in the surface is the confidence, the bottom is all the amount of time he practiced to get it right.
There are so many cuts in the video it makes me not believe that he didn't mess up at least once. Plus the guitar, if submerged in water, will give no sound, if you have knowledge of physics. I'd say 1/4th filled with water, not submerged.

@@fa-ajn9881 hey guys, I found the expert in the room, let's all hear what he has to say without using any common sense.
"Farewell - the melody of a drowning guitar."
This is not a failed experiment, but a symphony created in part by nature itself. For me, this melody was filled with a sense of hopelessness in the face of fate. It is as if it is spilling out all its emotions and experiences, giving us its soul, smoothly drowning on the last notes of its life... Thank you, Bernth. It's a true masterpiece.

Such a haunting and melodic tune. I guess this type of guitar sacrifice is more humane than smashing one on stage.

I remember words to that effect spoken by a character in "Cracker". Are you old enough to remember it? "These are the last words of a dying man"? Just before he throws himself and the murder suspect from the top of a really high building?
If this piece were to be described in words it would be like this: a beautiful enchanting recollection and reminiscing of the past moments together with someone you cherish deeply, intermingled with a melancholic, pleading for the future without that person not to come, transitioning into a feeling of accepting the inevitable fate of the relationship and the knowing that, though it's one of the most painful farewells of all time, boldly accepting it was all worth it and despite the pain, the lasting memories and act of moving on and forward resulted in something far more beautiful than could have ever come out of the relationship itself, and ultimately embodies the experience of life and transcendence as humans in an everchanging world and existence

Every instrument is born from a will to create and express a feeling. Every instrument has the potential for bringing just a little bit of magic in this world and it is always sad to see one loosing that potential. But this guitar has brought something truly genuine and ethereal from its end. This has brought tears to my eyes and I loved every note ❤
Theres just an ethereal beauty to this melody. Such a simple concept, drowning a guitar, and yet the unique circumstances, the skill of you as a guitarist, and the guitar itself, all combined to make such a beautiful sound.
The idea that you are actually sacrificing something here, actually saying farewell to a dear friend, creates a deep feeling of melancholy while listening to these notes. Beautiful. That was not a guitar going to waste, her last notes are now eternal.

Discovered you about an hour ago through this track and your music transcends anything else I’ve heard. It’s as if the guitar itself is feeling the emotion in the music. This is art beyond just the medium of music. This is art at a pure conceptual level, bursting with creativity and rooted in life itself.
This song invokes feelings of sadness of losing someone who had done everything and yet still had everything left to do. This is sorta the situation this guitar was in. As the instrument of this song there’s a bittersweet peace, as if it was living the rest of its life to the fullest, knowing that any moment would be its last and yet not fully accepting of its imminent demise. It plays until it suddenly sputters out, the last faint note fading away faster than one could anticipate.
Death is like that, and it reminds me of my grandfather, a man who did everything and had everything left to do. I lost him a few years ago. He worked so hard so he could give his family and himself the best life they could live. He experienced nearly everything the world around him had to offer and tried to learn how to do anything he wanted to. He was a pilot, a builder, a golf player, and in his later years, a guitarist who played a guitar very similar to this one. He had so much he wanted to see and do, and then one day his body gave up and he was gone. I’m sure he would have loved this song. I’ve never seen as many people at a funeral as I did at his.
This feeling is a result of what you do with music. You don’t just play, you and your instrument tell a story and experience the emotion firsthand. That’s why the music is so impactful. Can’t wait to see where this story takes you next. NEVER. STOP. SHREDDING.
The idea for this song is dark but, very beautifully unique. Well done on this!

0:23 - 0:39 this part hits different ☝🏻 it’s like the guitar is telling it’s whole life with the artist before it’s demise and that it would always be there for him. A little dramatic but that’s how I perceive it. ❤️ keep it up Mr. Bernth more songs like this on my playlist
Wow so deep
Yeah, he's totally _"strumming its pain with his fingers"!_ 🥴
as a pianist i would love to see this song on a piano. It sounds so damn good
edit: yoo i never had over a 1000 likes on a comments thank you guys so much
Real
Except I’m not a pianist
Underwater as well if possible
Mattias Krantz once filled a piano with water!

@@benjaminhartmann4522 I love that guy lmfao

Wow!! I was blown away by the sound. I didn’t expect that sounds, and hearing the drops of water added another layer of unique sound and experience. Well done sir
Insane the amount of emotion you can convey with a single instrument. Absolutely beautiful song you've created here!
Since it's my first time discovering you, it wasn't a big thing that I was expecting. However, I found out this is the very music that I was craving for for a while. This is a masterpiece that'll never get old for ages. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the composition and the experimental farewell with your guitar as well!
Totally agree, same feeling!
Ulvesang - The Hunt also has a similar vibe, it's really good
Yeah this is somehow exactly how it felt in my heart when I realized the last time I heard my grandma say she loved me was over the phone in the background. Beautiful and heartfelt... fading.
I think this is the meaning of being artist just doing everything to create something unique and amazing
This gave me tingles throughout my entire body and I'm definitely going to have that song on loop for a while. I feel like I can feel my own emotions again when listening to this, something I haven't felt in a while
Well if you do it with an electric guitar, the tingle sensation will intensify.
Same here
Same. Been looping a week +💖💕
shit man, this sent me into a dissociative state
i dont even know how to describe it but there's just so much emotion being conveyed through the chords and it speaks volumes
Something about this song made me weep as if picking out every feeling from inside the mental boxes of every compartmentalized memory that could sadden me.
This song is absolutely beautiful.
beautiful tune. Thank you for that gift.
This guy deserves more recognition for such a masterpiece
I can't put into words just how beautiful and breathtaking this is, but if I had to try, in a way it sounds kind of like what I imagine coming to peace with my depression as I slowly drown sounds like.
Now I know that sounds depressing - it is - but it's a peaceful, solemn, gentle kind of sad. It's the kind of sad where you lay down and feel at peace, where you feel empty but it no longer hurts, where the pain slowly subsides and you're left with this soft - almost blissful - feeling. One where you're numb but you're fine with it, where laying there, sinking in your sadness becomes peaceful - the final breath before the end, coming to terms and letting go. It's beautiful, and yet, almost painful in a way.
As someone who has come through depression more than once into some of the beauty if life you can get past that feeling of giving up being an option you are attracted to. But not by yourself. I used meds, counseling, acupuncture, energy work, calling someone on the phone hugging an animal. Depression is a sickness and you. Should not have to make yourself better alone. Wishing you love and light and a rediscovery of some small joys and kindness especially.
If you want to feel happy with 100% of your heart and mind (holding back the feelings desperation or any other negative feelings as much as possible), not 99%; but with 100% of your heart and mind, and hold that perfect desire without thinking of anything else... then the depression will leave, one by one, gradually. Usually takes about an hour, but you will see a fair bit of improvement from negativity in just 5 mins.
so... Bittersweet?
It sounds like you were describing that moment when people who do commit suicide decide that they're going to do it and they're at peace with it.....
@@AngelWhisper_7 yes, I was. I have - unfortunately - been in that place many times in my 20 years of life. I am still struggling with depression, and while I wish I could say I've gotten better, I haven't, and the situation which has left me in that place has only gotten worse. Between my slowly failing health, my seemingly inescapable abusive household, my financial situation and, my dwindling hope, I often feel as though death is the only option left for me. Many times I have been at that crossroads where I have a decision between life and death, and many times I have chosen and come to terms with the latter, but for every time I've tempted taking my own life I have also survived. Whether a friend or a family member found me, or even a complete stranger, somehow my life has been saved, and while in a way I curse those who've saved me, I also thank them deeply as it gave me a second chance to try and find reason for living again. Without them, I wouldn't have found my fiancé, and without them I would have died with no hope, but now I have a reason to try and live even when all odds are against me. I don't know how long I can hold on, but at least now I have a reason to.
That was hauntingly gorgeous! My hearing isn't trained enough yet to really pick up on the water effecting the sound but it's amazing none the less!
A swan sings before it's death. This video clearly portrays it ❤
This is hands down by far the most beautiful and powerful song!
The melody is astonishing, I almost closed my eyes the whole time, feeling the deep sensation that's gushing out from the speakers of my phone
Quite possibly the most beautifully written piece I've ever listened to.
Absolutely incredible
It has been a long time. Thanks for being my DeLorean and taking me back 20 years ago.
Man, that was beautiful. What a final send off.
