This movie is based off of African people and their culture. The movie props and outfits and head markings all from different African tribes. This makes me sick that they did not credit them as being the inspiration for their multi billion dollar movie. And no compensation at all

Avatar The Way Of Water is probably the BEST film I have ever seen. Aside from the visuals being next level and absolutely breathtaking, the story and characters are so good! So emotional and it really takes you to a different world

Just got back from watching it and holy crap it was amazing. Completely destroyed my expectations. I knew that visually it would be incredible but the story and emotion really surprised me. Should definitely be watched in 3D. I’ll be going back for a second watch. Beautiful.

The first Avatar was probably my favorite movie of all time and I knew that the second would be just as extraordinary. I was not let down in the slightest. The visuals… are just stunning. Breathtaking. And the story and characters are beautiful beautiful beautiful. First time I’ve ever wanted to go back to the theater the day after watching a film - not just because it was a spectacular experience, but because this franchise is honestly something I want to support with my own money.
Saw this in 3d imax last night. Without a doubt the most jaw dropping and awe inspiring visuals I’ve ever seen. Incredible!

The way of water surpasses the first Avatar movie. The visuals are so incredible and breathtaking! Also the 3D effect is so much better compared to 2009. You don’t get dizzy and everything looks clear.

Add to all this the use of virtual sets as opposed to green screen and it's all simply amazing from a visual FX standpoint
I have complete faith that this movie is going to be a number one!!! I have every DVD, 3-D, anniversary edition that avatar has. I still have a 3-D TV that actually plays all of my 3-D movies and I also agree I hope this rekindles the 3-D movies! I absolutely love James Cameron and avatar!!!!!

I just hope Avatar 2 does the same thing Avatar 1 did--rekindle the interest in 3D technology. I have all these 3D DVDs I love that I can't play anymore because nobody sells 3D tvs or DVD players anymore. Titanic and Avatar both are sooo much better in 3D.
It'll be interesting to see since 3D isn't as big as it used to be! We bought our tickets for Avatar 2 in 2D...Hopefully that won't be a mistake
dvd? im sure you menat 3D blu rays, 3D dvds were never a thing lol. And you can find plenty of 3d blu ray players on ebay and older used sets for 3dtv up there.. Happy trails.
@FutureVisionToday I watched 5 min of avatar 2 in imax 3d (all underwater scene) and also the trailer in 3d and other day I watched in 2d in the same cinema and the difference is night and day. Sorry
What about for someone who wears glasses? Does this affect watching it in 3D ? I’m not sure how they will fit over my glasses lol.

I've already seen this movie three times (two times in 3D). This is the best film I've ever seen in a long time. Visually, it's a masterpiece, story delivery is epic and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the film! Amazing job done by the team! James Cameron really outdid itself on this one and it deserves every awards it'd win in the future!
Avatar 2 is the best ever film I have ever seen.Apart from being sic-fi beautiful story, it is star-studded cast so that their acting is brilliant.The movie play with scene under the deep water is a more spectualr experience than other fiction film.

Visuals were definitely the main selling feature of avatar.. true.. but the story screenplay the action and emotions.. was what made it a complete movie.. which sadly not many " big production movie can't" avatar may have many visual competitors but the competitors don't have the marvelous James Cameron sir🙏 I belive in him this movie is gonna top the records

Just watched this movie in IMAX here in Manila yesterday. In my surprised. As far as i can tell this is the first movie that shot in 60fps. I'm actually impressed. But for the first few minutes of the movie because it is in 60fps i feel I'm watching some seen in StarCraft Wings of Liberty that shot in 60fps. But the movie is SO SO GOOD.
The MCU is no competition to something like Avatar.

I went and saw it a couple of days ago. I didn't want to see it in 3d as 3d tends to make me feel motion sick but I didn't have a choice about seeing it non 3d because my mum bought the tickets for us. And I have to say that I didn't have any problems with the 3d making me queasy. The movie is a visual masterpiece, there could have been a bit more in the way of character development but on the whole I loved the movie and want to go watch it in the cinema again

The one problem is the return to theaters post-pandemic. As an example, the first Black Panther opened with 202 million dollars, Wakanda Forever opened with 181 million. That's a difference of 21 million dollars, or 10% less. Other movies have seen a similar fate post-pandemic....and we are still not over COVID. The first Avatar film opened at only 77 million, so while I'm sure it'll have a much better return to theaters, will it reach its full potential?

@@smilingbuddha There were four years between the first Black Panther movie and Wakanda Forever. It was 36 years between Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick. So comparing box office numbers won't be a fair comparison due to the difference in production costs, inflation, etc.
All I'm saying is that pre-pandemic and post-pandemic attendance and the increasing popularity of networks streaming content on demand affect box office numbers. So we'll see how well it ends up doing in the same amount of time the first Avatar film had to be the number-one movie of all time.
