  • 5-11-24 is the date this was filmed . After a few minutes of adjusting I got the fertilizer to flow right in the tube and had to adjust on of the scratchers but we were able to get both plots cultivated and fertilized before the Got to be NC festival . Then loaded the 140 on the trailer and took it to the show lol .

    We’ve got to get this 140 here going. Especially when I watch yours being used. It relaxes me watching it. Awesome video my friend

    Good job Matt! Sometimes it's a little tedious, lol!

    Those scratchers do a pretty job. I'd like to pick up a set to plow my peas and beans with. I thought that was a bear cub going across the garden at first glance. Lol

      They do good as long as there isn't too much trash. Lol his name is Cub . When he was a puppy he looked like a little brown bear.

    Garden looks good Matt. Need to find me a hopper to put on my distributor so I can side dress my garden!

      Agri supply has complete hoppers that will sit right on the base and go to work for less than $200. They are made in china and are kinda ugly with that plastic hopper but they seem to work good though and agri supply has all the replacement parts cheap and lids. Hard to beat for a hobby gardener. Mine has all the parts from there in the IH base. So far so good

    Those rear sweeps look huge!!

      I think they are 24" wide . I like them because they cover more than the tire tracks and do not dig too much and do the job they are intended to do .

      @@farmall51 yea I can tell they do more than the tracks. I think I have some 14-16" ones . I don't remember if I mounted them or still have them unused in the shed?

    On that taller corn you can get alittle closer and deeper and they will throw some dirt and cover up that short weeds and grass in there. I did a under the tractor short of mine the other day

      this was the second time Ive used the scratchers with New teeth this time but we were having fertilizer issues too. and the 3 replant rows .

    • @Moorefarmalls
      @Moorefarmalls Před 3 měsíci

      @@farmall51 yea that 1st time when the plants are short and young you have to stay off them but after they get alittle height to them you can get on up on them and let them dig and they will roll dirt to the plant like rolling cultivators

      @@farmall51 I just put the tube beside mine in the welded pipe with a bolt. A piece of wire on the tube will work just as good though. I had a lot of fertilizer drive and hopper kinks I had to get out also lol

    What size sweeps are you running on the back? I’m running 12 inch and they’re doing a fair job on my Farmall C. I thought about getting some wider to see if it would do any better.

      15" or 16 I think it is
