Been thru some of the worst storms in that lagoon , anchors dragging constantly. We had to tie off the back of a larger boat that wrapped his anchor chain around a bommy He lost his anchor in fort hour so dived and wrapped chain by hand , 25 yrs ago could get decent fed inside the cut thru in reef

Some of my best Red emperor trips have been on NW winds, multiple times
Not sure if the rules have changed. But the last time we camped in the lagoon we got into a lot of trouble from fisheries because we left our rods in the Rod holders even though we were not fishing

Nah mate it’s not a green zone, there is a green zone area inside the lagoon, maybe you guys were in that part? Bit your allowed to fish in the areas not marked green
Bad Fishing? What That's A Good Catch Bud, Not Everybody Can Travel Out Far To The Reefs Or Deep Fish.. A Lot Of People Struggle To Go Out And They Catch Nothing Sometimes
