I've never experienced the Sword Vortex. Reminds me of how in L4D2 when a zombie hits you it practically stops you from moving almost completely with no logic whatsoever. Anyways, Jersey Mike's for the win

My biggest gripe with the sloop is the cannon angles. Literally cant even get an angle on other ships 50% of the time because of the waves. Makes no sense when you have cannons mounted on the lowest height deck in the game, but they cant fire as low as gally or brig cannons.
I like that the different boats have different strengths and foibles you have to deal with, but being completely at the mercy of even the smallest of waves while fighting on a sloop is beyond annoying.

Sloop is like the scav of SoT. Outgunned/unpowered but still dangerous.
Hey Ma5on this is a neat trick for server hoppins you might want to know. If you start the first pirates life tall tale, go through the portal, and once inside cancel the tall tale, your ship and whatever condition it was in will be teleported into another server with whatever level emissary you had.
Good for if your hunting ships and want to keep emissary level
He doesn't need this trick, he gets servers handed over to him by his viewers.

What do you guys use to move the cannon, WASD or the Mouse? With my mouse the cannon and telascope are SOOOOOO slow

Agreeington, brigantines are alright but galleon are stinky. You pretty much never see me sailing one.

the sloop is the ideal ship to go seal clubbing in, honestly. new players on a galleon will assume easy prey and get smacked
2 shots to the mast is completely OP, my crew and I play daily as reapers and haven’t sunk in over a month, massive server hopping, it’s just such a pain with 2 shot stuff.
Didnt sink over a month due to mast buff. Update was just 2 week ago. 🤔

Meet a lot of Randoms who IGNOR the lower deck because they DONT THINK people can hit it. and Don't bother fixing the middle floor because as long as they dont drop below the Water line the water wont GET to those holes. Sloop is basically a rowboat with a sheet. It’s a baby’s boat. Definitely the choice of noobs or players who have no skill at sailing. Just my opinion as a 2 yr player who enjoys the challenge of solo galley or brig. Call me crazy but I always laugh at the slow little rowboats with a sheet bobbing around trying to catch me! LOL
