Cela fait 54 ans que je suis tombé sous le charme de la musique de Frank et je suis heureux de voir que plus en plus de jeunes talents « récussite » cette merveilleuse musique
As an old man now, a life long Zappa devotee, these talented young things nailed it down. Hat's off to you and the prof that made it happen. Salute to you for passing on musical genius. This was excellent Frank.
One of my favorite versions of this song. I was just listening to some of Frank’s live stuff and had to come back and listen to this again. Hope to visit Hilo again one day and check them out in person.
WOW!!! This is AWESOME!!!! You guys are so good!!! I love seeing more people taking an interest in the music of Frank Zappa. I’ve also been a fan of his music since the early 70’s Great job done by all. Nice guitar work.... doing it your own way like that!
I enjoyed this. I have to say that pygmy twilite is my favourite zappa tune. I saw him when i was 12 and later saw dweezil and ray white with zpz. I have to say the cuts from 1973 and 74 of PT are my favourite. the guitar on live in helsinki 1974 is high fidelity and awesome. the orchestra is pretty great in general. The bass player is pretty fantastic in my opinion. I was watching you dude. I enjoyed both drummers too. Both technically on point and with their own nuances. my musician intuition tells me the keyboard player is really into this tune. sometimes you go away to a place in a room full of sounds. music is transcendent.
Hello! I was an exchange student in UH Hilo that year. One friend of mine invited me to this concert. The saxophonist was another friend's roomie. I remember he was called Thor. I wish you could upload the whole concert. Please. Thank you!!
The helsinki concert arrangement, respect. The vocal interlude at 2:36 is a bit dissapointing, but trying to mimic the sounds Napolean made is a weeeeeee bit tough to do, lmao. Thanks for uploading!
Super performance from the whole band! Especially the vocal performance was really exceptional! But I hate the guitar solo - it's way too long. Almost half of the song plays this young man and all have to wait until he has delivered his private show - I do not understand. Not even Frank Zappa played such excessive solos... boring! And my dear "WORSTXB1PLAYER Tyler Tee H C" I don't think Frank would have loved this!
Well, Dieter, these are kids who are being introduced to this music by a great teacher. I'd cut them some slack. Frank's son actually came to their Zappa tribute show the following year and supports them. Best, Jay
Excellent videography.these kids have it going on. Refreshing to hear a new generation getting into Franks music. Brilliant performances by all. Thank you Jay Curlee for posting this outstanding tribute to Frank Zappa.

Renews my faith in humanity.

Thanks Mick. The stars lined up and I was able to do my pal a favor. In appreciated your remarks.
It's an improvement on the original... so much joi de vivre from every player... They're all whipping it out...

Been a fan of FZ for decades. Putzing around on CZcams and I found this. Props to the musicians and to those that introduced them to FZ.
That guitar solo was really good!
Thank you!

Bonito solo de Guitarra 🙏🤟❤
Brings a near tear to my cloudy eye
The spirit of Frank live on.
most excellent. thankyou!
Great arrangement, loved the guitar and the guy on bass reminded me on how Phil Lesh keeps the drive in the music.
Chills! Stellar and oh yes Brilliant sooooooooooooooo much joy in performance visual and audio
old man? pah! this truly rocked my boat. good to see the youngers gettin on board.
Nice arrangement, nice deep groove. Rock on!

Genial, viva Zappa¡¡¡
I know this is a top notch production.
I am sure Zappa would approve.
Has Weird Al heard it?
This comment was so I could find it again.
Don't know if Weird Al has seen this.
The lady on vibes is perfect to emulate Ruth.
That solo is beastly top players each and everyone of them. Frank would love it.
Just goes to show that FZ was really a classical composer.

This is Great!
For a second it sounded like the guitar player from Wishbone Ash. Zappa since '71
You´ re right( & 71 me toooooo):::-))
Nice work!!! great band!!
amazing!
Very nice and beautifully done version
Imaginons le travail d'écriture qu'ont représentés les titres de Frank : chaque musicien à sa partition. Phénoménal.
Band was excellent but I have to admit, the two-part harmony lead vocals were pretty good!
So good! Aloha!!!
Kids are all right! Well freakin done!
Fuuuuuck yeah
OUT FREAKIN' STANDING!
The Well-Tempered Electric Guitar
I think that Frank would approve. I know I do!
Smoked-out pygmy! 🔥🔥🔥

Excellent musicianship, fabulous orchestration and conduction. Picky Zappa would have been ecstatic watching this.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The other guitarist has a Zappa SG ! What happened there ?
Maybe it's just my speakers, but I feel like the vibes should've been higher-up in the mix. Couldn't hear them most of the time.
Hey where’s the other dime.? supposed to get 35 cents back
This is a better guitar cover than Dweezil does...
Esa Järvi........NOT EVEN CLOSE!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jay, is this a bunch of college kids???
+safepairofhands yes, with a few high school kids thrown in.
+Jay Curlee Bodes well for a shiny, noisy, cool future
🙊😄😂😎👳💥
this guitar player 6.50 looks like james deen pornstar
Jesus Christ must have looked like him
Slow as hell, but nice.
Its the quaalude thunder version. See "You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 2"
It's all about the notes. Even the little ones.
Not bad, not at all
Too slow ruins the flow but all things considered still nailed it
