@@ThatOneZeus for octavia vrs its okaay is family sports car..and main goal is sports car that is quiet but when you are alone you get "sporty" sound..you can still turn it off, if you take look at focus rs(mk3) is "loud" in normal mode and for family daily driver is too much for some people
Keep up the good work man, I am not a fan of fake engine sound from speakers, but if you are allowed to turn it off than it's not a big deal at all

I don't like fake things on cars. Don't give me the V8 sound, if I don't have V8 power. It can be turned off, so it's ok.

Own a Mk3.5 RS245 and from you POV drive this drives exactly like my ride.
I reckon there's no point switching from a RS245 to a MK4 in-terms of performance point of view.
Also, the interior "fake" sound is all sporty and nice for about a week...then you'll be freaking sick of it that you would dismantle the Soundkator from the dash and fit in a real aftermarket muffler for genuine sound...

I would prefer that they put the sound in the exhaust baffle like the Jag F type, where you change baffle to silence it or not

Isolating the car at high speed? Comfort in bumbs?
Hello, comfort is surprisingly good on bumpy roads with the DCC because suspension gets softer in Comfort mode. So that’s the option to go for if you will use it on that kind of roads. Of course in Sport mode it gets stiff as it should :)
If you don’t go for DCC then you get sport suspension that means stiffer than standard Octavia (but compared to standard Octavia this one has multilink at the back so it drives better)
Isolation - ok. didn’t drive it fast (as seen on video on highway around 140 km/h it’s ok , but I think above 160 km/h not the best in class

Osobno nisam nikad vozio auto gdje zvuk od motora dolazi iz zvucnika...al vjerujem da je fora, ne bi se bunio. Kaj kad je radio upaljen, pretpostavaljam da se i dalje cuje?
Sve u svemu...vozim "normalnu" octaviju, ali naravno zelim i ovu 😁
bio bi jako dobar upgrade slaže se :)
Iskreno nisam baš palio radio, ali uvijek je pravilo da isto radi ako je uključeno tako da se taman čuje i muzika i zvuk ispuha :) Po meni jako fora stvar, i lako se naučit na to, volio bi da moj Mini ima istu stvar :D
@@crospotter13 da, pretpostavio sam da je tak...stalno te tjera da dajes gas, a sa 245ks to i nije problem hehe.
Pitam se kakva je potrosnja na ovom benzincu...
@@Darac2255 prekratko sam vozio da bi mogo reć neku realnu brojku, ali mislim da jako varira ovisno o stilu vožnje :) Odnosno normalnom vožnjom bi trebala bit kolko-tolko štedljiva, a kad se stisce gas se to ne gleda :)

Zvuk dolazi iz saundauktora koji je smisten ispod sajbe naprid ..ne iz zvučnika.
For a game console it is expensive.
is the suspension hard even in comfort mode ? i like cars with softer suspension for every day use...
It’s actually surprisingly softer in Comfort, because this model has the optional DCC, and in the settings there are actually many options for the suspension, you can adjust it manually in individual mode

@@Meseroth hello - it's better than on previous gen, but above 160 you do get a bit of noise but nothing too serious
there will be another video with RS, different one with wheel spacers and aftermarket active sound so stay tuned :) Also if you want to know something more tell me will cover that in the new review
@@crospotter13 Thanks for the reply. You mentioned in another comment that DCC makes the ride noticeably softer which is great, so the noise levels are really the only thing I'm curious about. My MK3 is... not the most relaxing at highway speeds, so it's great to hear they've made it better.
I had a chance to see it and play with the tech which feels and looks great, but I haven't had a chance to take it for a spin just yet, so videos like yours are the only option for now :) Keep up the great work!
@@Meseroth thanks :) Yes DCC has like more than 6-7 modes (so not just comfort normal sport, but also you can go full comfort of something betwwen comfort and normal etc)
I will do a POV drive without talking that will include highway with that new one that I will test so there you will notice the sound, will also turn down the speaker engine sound in that part :)

This RS for sure :) also has multilink at the back, has 600 litres of trunk space and has new infotainment 😀

Sportline may be more comfortable and more sensible choice, but for me Octavia RS is more fun so would be my choice 😀 Hope you get it one day 🏁😀
What about fuel consumption with this engine in city/highway ? Thx for info.
Didn’t drive for long enough to tell, but will get the car again so will try to get some more info on that

I really don't mind the sound from the speakers. I drove the Focus ST previous week, which also had speakers sound, and it is addicting. I always wanted to accelerate!
Exactly :) and for people who don’t like it there’s always an option to turn it off. Wish I had this in my Mini 😀
@@crospotter13 Is it the real sound of the engine coming through the speakers though or is it an artificial sound?
@@henrikmadsen6100 artificial as you can manage different levels of sound, also when you are from outside you don't hear it. Take a look at my new video where you can see it and hear it from outside

J’étais prêt à acheter cette octavia RS l’année prochaine et bien après avoir entendu ce son absolument risible je m’abstiendrai, ce qui est d’autant plus surprenant puisque la golf 8 gti avec le même moteur fait elle un très beau bruit sans un fake sound à la con. Dommage car la voiture est très réussie!

Skoda RS with no Headup Display is a No Go for me personely.

Unfortunately no, probably bacause of the OPF filter that needs to fitted to go with the new EU laws
Putting an aftermarket catback has always been standard to do on these cars they never have a good stock exhaust note

Uf da ih sam radim otislo bi jako puno vremena na to, ali mislim da mozes probati na postavkama (tamo gdje se mijenja npr kvaliteta i brzina videa) staviti da ti pokaze automatske subtitlove koji nisu idealni ali mogu posluzit :)

@@nurnberg1561 :) Auto je stvarno odličan, po meni dizajn potpuno pogođen s novom generacijom, a ovaj 2.0 TSI motor provjerena stvar sa 245 KS fino poteže. Da uzimam RS uzeo bi ovu izvedbu, iako su u ponudi još dizel od 200 KS i hibrid od 245 KS ovaj mi nekako najviše paše uz RS oznaku
