Making a battle axe with a modern head

- Picked up a 15 inch full size eye handle from @WhiskeyRiverTradingCo and now we have ourselves a versatile battle axe. They really came through with this shipment of handles so go check them out at the link below.

Just me it would feel wrong hanging a double bit on that short handle like you did there but it is kinda cool as all get out but I just couldn't do it, feel like my Grand Daddy would be lookin down and shaking his head lol

Nice old Kelly head! Curious is it a wall hanger or do you have a use in mind for that short handle? I have my grandpa’s old grab skip and it has a short handle like that first time I have saw a double bit with one that short
Well I figure I’ll keep it in the truck just incase I need to trim some limbs off. Other than that it’s quite useless. If the firewood is pine or cedar it should make a nice kindling maker
