I didn’t want Michael Jackson to stop singing. Sounded cool doing his interpretations of those songs. I love the change in his voice. He sounds like the way he did on the “Moving Violation” album.

This was an interesting portion of Michael's career. His voice had fully changed during that 1974 period and he had to musically embarce and grow into his entirely new vocal tone. That is NOT easy for a 15-16 year old young man to do.

@@EarlMcDowellJr Very good observation. I found out that when Michael’s voice changed, he would practice singing in his “new” voice around the house. By the time we heard it, he kinda knew where he was gonna go vocally. I prefer this ‘74-‘82 voice.

We all like titles to carry, and we either take titles to our own, name ourselves to be that and that or the title(s) are given to us by this world.
Therefore, why we like not when GOD titles us the most correctly and calling us fools when we clearly are fools?
Proverbs 18:2 - A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

kiddlelover43 that’s a VERY interesting analysis. I wasn’t born during their prime but i think you’re right. Michael Jackson at this stage was no longer a cute phenomenon. He just looks like a ordinary teen who just happens to sing with his brothers. The magic in that sense was gone cuz they weren’t new anymore. The days of “ABC”, “The Love You Save” were over. Hence why they needed more mature material like “Dancing Machine” and “Get it Together”. Another factor is Michael’s voice. He sounded like a totally different singer now. His true fans, I’m guessing, didn’t care and just loved the Jackson 5 period. We forget that Michael grew up in front of his fans. It was a VERY difficult transition. We never saw what was goin on behind the scenes. His growth, his changing voice, his baby face was gone etc. that would take a toll on anyone in the spotlight.

I agree with you 100% but you have to understand that Michael Jackson was his own worse enemy. After the first time they told him, look don't ever give them another reason to make those same allegations whether you did it or not. Don't ever be alone with children. He didn't listen and sure enough up pops those same allegations which, came AFTER the 20,000,000 dollar settlement. All's I'm saying is that he should have listened to what his management team told him. What the hell was he paying them for if he wasn't going to listen to them? If it was me, the only kids I would ever be alone with would have been my own. Everything before the trial and during almost killed him. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he him. He was broke and broken before he died. RIP Michael Jackson, and thank you Joe Jackson for sharing your talented family with us. We truly were the lucky one's. PS I know there are alot of people out there who hate Joe Jackson, but without him there would have never been a Michael Jackson and who was it that showed up for Court with Michael Jackson? Diana Ross, Brooke Shields, Quincy Jones, Berry Gordy, or Lisa Marie Presley? Nope, it was Joe Jackson. Now my work here is done...Have a great day.
