Bills get Tre'Davious White (CB), Tremaine Edmunds (LB), Dion Dawkins (T), Zay Jones (WR), Siran Neal (CB), the Chiefs get Patrick Mahomes. If you are looking at this solely from an on-paper, biggest "bang-for-your-buck" perspective, then this trade isn't all that disparate. The Bills did land 3 pro-bowl caliber players in exchange for the best QB in the game today. However, if you give this hindsight, looking at this from an end result and even psychological point of view, the Bills would definitely take this trade back since they created the very situation that has haunted them for the past half decade

I am more surprised that Pittsburgh went in on him. Not the other way around. Russ will be coming to a stable organization with a history of winning, a veteran head coach that players love. A solid defense, run game and talent to throw to. It's a very smart win win. Low risk high reward situation. Wilson vs Pickett. Last year Russ has 15 start 26 TDs to 8 ints and a 98 QBR. Kenny in his 25 starts 13 TDs to 13 ints and a QBR of 78.8. So as a HUGE born and raised Steelers fan I like it. It COULD work out very nicely.

The Browns trade and signing for Deshaun Watson with the massive guaranteed contract was a worse overall move, although the trade itself wasn't as bad.

This is an absolute Steel by the Steelers. Veteran Minimum 1 Year Contract for Russ is an absolute no brainer. Russell's biggest flaw has been his Ego and the trash coaching/management in Denver. That Ego is torn to shreds at this point so watch out cause we about to see DangeRuss back again in 2024

There probably is far more truth to this than the sports media is aware. Acrisure has grown to $3.8B in revenue and is not a small player globally. Wilson and Ciara's joint venture with them with Evolution Advisors LLC could potentially get some incredible exposure from this engagement so financially this could be a great for Wilson if he cranks out a few good seasons with the Steelers.

Steelers run game was actually pretty good towards the end of the year and the o-line improving though they definitely need to look into center and tackle during FA or draft. If they can get at least a competent pass game going and become at least a mid tier offense they will be dangerous. The D creates a lot of turnovers.

I love the move. Worst case scenario, you get a better backup than Mason for 1/5th of the cost and a better bar for Kenny to clear. I called it before channels started talking about it. I said what is a team that can actually win with Russ and I was the Steelers. He can't carry a young team I thought. He can't go to a team that already has a qb and so I said the steelers is literally the only team that doesn't have solidified qb but always has a winning record and so they won't be trash...And they can build around Russ since they can pay him the minimum. What a win win for all parties...

This is a great move. Pickett was showing flashes of talent but it felt like their OC was not it with even the kicker not happy with Canada post game (as you reported and showed video evidence for). This will give him some time to develop along with his play on the field already. If Johnson stays, which Russ' acquisition may facilitate, you have a 1,2 pair at Wide out, speed slot, a growing TE that can block and catch, and one of the strongest run games in the league (which allowed Russ to make it to the SB a few times and win one). That division just got harder to climb out of for seeding, and makes all other AFC divisions on notice for WildCard spots

He does nothing for most of the game and then tries to lead a comeback in the last couple minutes of the game. He makes it so that the Broncos defense has to be constantly be out on the field because he’s missing open receivers and taking unnecessary sacks scrambling out of the pocket

Honestly I would have been fine if we took him because of his contract status. That said if we did that we could have used the number 8 pick on another need. However, all Wilson does is win us more games but not get us closer to a championship. We are not a championship team in Wilson’s’ window. So from my pov I would either trade up for either Williams or Daniels (no point to trade up for Maye) or trade for Field. The Falcons roster is not built for a win the SB in a couple years. I personally would trade up and get our guy

Considering the locker room issues Pittsburgh has been so good at hiding over the years, I'm surprised they went with Wilson - Not saying he can't still play but he has a reputation for being a chemistry killer and we already know Pittsburgh tends to clamp down on that sorta thing.
