Il Cammino delle Due Primule - The Documentary

Walk with us from the top of Mount Cervati all the way to Capo Palinuro, guided by two Primroses: the Primula Palinuri and the Primula Auricula. Shared between those two primroses, we find a thousand stories of men and women who live on and with these lands, we find an amazing biodiversity and countless nuances of a rural way of life, that connects the mountains to the sea and vice versa.

The rurality of shepherds, farmers and fishermen. Four days of walking that tell the story of centuries. Riccardo and Luigi involved me in telling this story. They are two young "masters of the air" who got me involved in the overwhelming power of this idea. A rich journey full of relationships between man and nature, between man and air, between man and food and between man and symbols. Accompanying us, beside Riccardo and Luigi, creators of the Cammino, is also Prof. Nicola Di Novella, botanist, but above all another "Master of the air". In this documentary, his story allows us to discover the common thread of our land, the essence of the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.
Antonio, Maria and Vincenzo, each in their own right, are narrators of thousand-year-old stories, they are the heritage that we must learn to cultivate. The Trail of the Two Primroses, for this reason, is first and foremost a life practice. We cannot think about the future of this land without understanding its richness and complexity.
Discovering the Primula is not only a search for beauty, but also an concerned look toward sustainability. Its concern is with the delicate balance to which we all belong, which we must not override and which we must enjoy wisely, with respect and vision for the generations still to come.
The images that we have collected in a year of work, span a circle around the sun and around the naturale cycle to which we belong. This is also how we experienced the production of this documentary, like a journey of self-discovery, of the essence of the beauty and extraordinary complexity of this territory.
