Woodmizer builds a great product. I bought my first one in 1993 and built my house with the lumber, and later sawed prime oak for a big sawmill. The LT40 even w/o hydraulics is very robust and has power feed & power up/down. Now I'm on my 3rd mill with 110 acres of hardwood!

I have been watching for about 8 months now. I am 74 years old and am a retired logger. I still cut and heat my home with wood. The only heat source I have is a good wood stove in my basement. My home is modest, 1300 sq. ft. but sufficient for my wife and I. I am envious of the life style you live with all of the equipment, looks like fun.
What this comment is about is the music that you play on your videos; it’s great! It’s diverse, it supports the mood of the task being shot and covers all age groups. I personally am not familiar with most of they’re artists but once again find it to be appropriate. Please keep it up. You folks seem to be comfortable with who you are and will and will do as you feel fit. Thanks for keeping me in the woods and allowing me to sit on your shoulder and observe your adventures.

    Howdy Mike and Melissa
Really enjoy watching your videos and see all the beautiful wood you “ uncover” at the sawmill. Really love seeing the Cherry and oak being processed. I’ve been “ nuts about oak “ for over 45 years and still loving working with many hardwoods.Thank you for putting out really well done, down to earth videos that are so enjoyable. Keep up the great work and stay healthy and happy!

I tell her she needs to keep doing it to get her muscles used to it so that doesn't happen but you know how that goes. I appreciate her help and you should appreciate the hard work your wife does! Mine kicks my ass when it comes to household duties but I make up for it on projects and repairs. A good relationship works better when the shared broad skills keeps things going. I applaud your wife for doing the work and not cussing the whole time 😁😂

They did mention a while back that they would tell us what they did or do with the saw dust but they never did .

You didn't miss anything . They never told us what they do with the lumber or where they store it .

i don't recall hearing what they are going to do with the saw dust either. I'm curious about the saw dust too, it looks to fine to be used for animal bedding. hopefully the can find a use for it since there will be so much of it.
i do remember mike saying he was going to let the lumber dry and then maybe sell some and also use it on some of his projects he is planning.

I just hope that it's not stacked outside with a plastic tarp over it . Plastic just keeps the moisture in and doesn't let the wood breath properly . Mold is a result of that .

Hey Mike, am i seeing something that's not there but is the front saw not cutting a guide path through the bark to save the main saw blade? Are they misaligned? I have no idea about this equipment, it just looks like the front motor is cutting a little lower than the actual saw blade. So, please look over my ignorance if I'm missing something. HahaThanks for the great content.

I have been watching all of your videos for quite some time now, but maybe I have missed more detail on the sawmill. Is there any chance that you could do a sawmill video with the perspective from the operator's view? In other words, looking over Mike's shoulder. I would like to see which controls are used to raise the blade and how you know where to place the blade to make sure all wood has a consistent thickness. I rememebr the initial sawmill video, but I don't remember seeing one from your view. If there is one, please let me know and I will find it. Keep up the great work!

Good morning, really love watching you videos. I was wondering how wide and long of a log can that wood mixer handle. And how often do you change the blade on it. I know condition of the wood is always a factor but on a average?

Hi Mike we are expecting about 110 degrees here today and our days are starting to get shorter unfortunately. That was a really nice cherry log you had on the bandsaw last video. Marinus from Australia
