I like the fact, Sheena, Browny and Brad have HC Unit above there names , reference to Hard Corps.

the fact you see the Hard Corps characters in the ending and showed the start of the Aliens Wars really tells you they want to remake Contra 3 and Contra Hard Corps. Dude, if they remake those 2 games and they do really well then we might see a remake of contra 4 which is a continuation of the Alien Wars where Black Viper (the alien leader in Contra 4) arrives to invade Earth.
also they want to remake Contra Force and the remake characters Burns Smith Beans and Iron
This is the best Contra Game yet. The remake of the jungle and waterfall stages are on point. Thank you Konami.

I Hopefully They Announced the DLC of Contra Operation Galuga and added more Stage and Characters as well Because The Aliens are invasion on the City it might be Black Viper
Maybe they'll do Super C as DLC, and the Alien Wars could be the next game, perhaps mixed in with lore from either Contra 4 or Shattered Soldier

Oh, cool! Nice to see Contra still has anthro dogs fit into the lore. It may not make much sense, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
The plot managed to fit a barbarian warrior king's ghost into it and not disrupt the tone, so I think it's fair to say anything goes.
For a game that gets a lot right they failed with Browny.He's supposed to be small.Why change that?
Well, this is a prequel. They can give him a smaller body later as part of the story.

Maybe they felt the small size was an unfair advantage/didnt align with how they wanted the game to be.
@@Zenfluence81not really ...in the original , his small size was compensated with a jetpack...who have a much longer time in air wich is useful in some levels...
Since people are bringing up the possibility of DLC characters, here's an odd pick: Solomon Caesar from Contra 4 Redux, the forgotten mobile sequel to Contra 4. He was the winner of a character design contest, and his backstory is he was a former mercenary turned test subject of Red Falcon's experiments turned cybernetically-enhanced member of Contra.

Ray Poward is a new recruit in the original timeline around the start of Hard Corps IIRC. Probably not recruited yet.
Jaguar Yagyu wasn't born yet.
Wish we could play as Beowulf, but the werewolf will have to do, at least he has a claw attack since we cant use the energy sword characters..(Bewowulf and Varanis)
Did you have to download a patch to get this game to run at 60 fps?
im a bit confused onwhy the hard corps characters are using weapons that are unique to a different hard corps character?

I hope they add Ray Poward (Hard Corps, Legacy of War, C: The Contra Adventure) and Yagyu Jaguar from Neo Contra..

How do you unlock all these characters?? I can't find any info anywhere. Didn't even know there were more characters than what the character trailer showed
Beat story mode and it unlocks them to buy in the ingame perk store.
@@GamersReckoning It doesn't seem that's the case for me. I've beaten Story on Hard and I can't buy three characters still. I wonder if there's additional requirements.
Edit: I beat Stage 7 with Lucia where you run into Bradley, and now the remaining characters are unlocked in the Perk Shop. Also if you beat the last stage with Stanley I think you get a different cutscene where you don't see what happens to Bradley, which also may be why I didn't have it at first.
@@rolljutsu During the story mode you unlock some characters when they come into the story. After finishing the story then you unlock other characters to purchase in the perk store. I went through it on easy first and they all popped up for me. Not sure what else to do as that is the only thing I did before unlocking them. Also the new characters are only playable in challenge and arcade mode.
Yeah three characters still showed as locked in the Perk Shop until I went back and beat Stage 7 as Lucia and Stage 8 as Bill, which I hadn't done on my first playthrough, and after that I got a notification saying they could be bought in the shop.

You can unlock them in Story Mode as the game progresses to the end

You mean Newt Plissken? He's secretly a bad guy in the game he appeared in, but since this game supposedly happens before the events of Contra Rebirth it could be safe to assume he could appear in the next game as a playable character and secret antagonist.
@thenewguyinred he was a bad guy? Didn't know that. I hope that this sells well though and more games are hopefully made. I also hope hardcoreps uprising is remade one day as a prequel like it originally was or another story to the new games.

1) Liking the overall design of Lucia, only the face of Sheena, and none of Ariana.
2) Why is Sheena the only woman with a last name? With the exception of three out of four robots, all the guys have last names, even the werewolf.
3) Having never played a Contra game ever, would this be a good entry for newcomers?
Lucia is actually surnamed Drake in the cinematics.

@@saitoren4061 In previous games Lucia was an android and simply didn't have a last name. Her being Professor Drake's daughter is something they came up with for Operation Galuga.
@@whitewolf3051 Sheena was the only female character with a known last name in any Contra backstory as far as I remember. Ariana is new, and simply doesn't state her last name to the team nor does she have any file on her in the database. Lucia is similar in that she doesn't state her last name either (And she's supposed to be some intelligence officer who has a ton of secrets).

Tsugu-Min (BR-W9 in the US version of Contra Rebirth) and Jaguar (From Rebirth and NEO Contra) both are from VERY far in the future from where this game takes place, if not a different continuity entirely. It's pretty logical not to see them yet.
