I’ve worked the front desk of hotels for about 5 years now and have learned one very important lesson; the people who ask for a late checkout are the same people who show up 3 hours before check-in and get all pissy when you tell them that no rooms are ready yet.
I'll show up early and see if a room is available. But never ask for late checkout
Then there's people like me who show up early checks in and leaves early because this is the scenario I think is gonna happen if I'm late
I always show up as early as possible to the hotel. I hate waiting to check in. I leave as soon as I wake up which is around 6 or 7
I always get to hotels hella late. But I call and let them know how far away I am and what time I think I’ll be there. I’ve only ever done one late checkout in my life. Usually when I stay, it’s like a whole ass week. I take out my own trash and reuse my towels like I would at home. I just wash them with my laundry in the little guest laundry area. No hassle for the housekeeping staff

Video was really funny but was hoping it was gonna be longer cause he could have definitely added some more funny things that Housekeepers go through when it comes to cleaning houses, rooms, buildings etc (It’s cool though cause I know Trevor has more than likely never experienced house keeping work IRL which is fine, he still killed it in this video). I clean houses and also these small houses that we call Treehouses, for us the checkout time is at 10:00am and we really do freaking hate it when the people aren’t gone by 10:00, they’ll make the biggest mess you can possibly think of and not leave a tip. And yeah one of the things that people forget the most are chargers for their phones, shirts, and socks. I’m sure hotels are probably the same in this case but the duvets we use we only wash and dry them if they are stained, it would have been funny if there was a coffee stain or something on one of the duvets and Trevor just lost his shit and screamed at him for staining them.
I just showed this to my co workers and they found it hilarious and they also agree that we should carry prop guns with us and as soon as 10:01 hits we kick the doors open and tell them to get the F out. 😂

Lol, we got up early to do a mountain biking event and there was not a single tree or any shade on the route, unlike the ones we had done previously, so we got back exhausted and burnt. Showered, thought we would have a quick snooze until checkout time. Yup, hammering on the door at 10.30 am, can't remember last being shocked out of such a deep, contented sleep. Apparently they had phoned us a couple of times and we had slept right through the calls. Luckily they did not shoot us, but if looks could kill as we walked sheepishly through the lobby🤣🤣🤣

This is one of the most accurate things I have ever seen. One thing missing is getting the notification at like 11:02 on your phone that your bank has just been charged for another night at the hotel...They clearly seen you packing to leave, and u have TOLD them you are leaving...But no sir, you did not leave fast enough.

Usually you go through your list of departing rooms first thing in the morning and strip all the laundry so you don’t have to constantly go back and forth with it throughout the day. So housekeepers absolutely LOVE people who actually leave by checkout time. Because it’s incredibly awkward to either walk into someone’s room or feel like a psychopath for a second when you open the door and hit the lock or something like that. At the end of the day you’re just trying to do your job and go home.
