    I think it’s really interesting that I’m seeing a lot of the planner people I follow downsizing their systems right now. I think part of it is that one book July just happened, but across the board I see most people choosing one or two books to keep everything in. This is not the case for me, because I just expanded my system. I’ve really been craving compartmentalization and the ability to keep different parts of my life separate from one another. Right now I have four planners, five undated notebooks, and two ring notebooks. Two of the planners and all of the undated books are in my TN systems (I have a moterm cover and a TN company cover) and then the other two planners are hobonichi weeks megas that I keep for my spiritual practice and for budgeting. I’m just glad that everyone is finding systems they like, but I also think it’s important to keep in mind that these are tools in a cupboard rather than silver bullets to solve every productivity problem (as Oliver Burkeman puts it). Anyways, it was great hearing from you again!

      Thank you for your comment! 💗 You are making me think that I may have been a bit misleading if I’ve implied this is all I’m using. I actually didn’t participate in one book July, bc I didn’t want to give up my health and wellness or meal planning Weeks that I am also keeping up with. I also have my 5-year journal, and my personal diary that I use another TN for. All that to say, I totally relate to the desire to compartmentalize! I suppose a more accurate description would be that it’s my daily schedule and daily to-do’s (so maybe productivity planning system?) that I have felt a desire to downsize. I agree that all of these things are tools that we can change up when our context changes.
      It sounds like you have a great system set up. I would love to learn more about how you’ve been using your weeks for budgeting. I’ve never been able to figure out a system that works well, but it’s something I’d like to build some skills in!

    Screaming. Crying. Throwing up. I'M SO GLAD YOU GOT FULL BOTTLES OF THE D/C PILOT IROSHIZUKU!!!! I'm so excited for you 😍😍 The A6 memo books are the same paper as the Hobonichi planners and notebooks. My guess is they are the OG TRP since the ones I got last year were still the OG. I also love how you used the weekly supplement. It seems so small but like there is still enough space.
    *side note: I'm excited to see what you think about the 2025 Hobonichi release! I really love the "potential" theme they are going with.

      THANK YOU!! 😍 I was soooooooo excited. 😂😍 I wasn’t sure if my pilot custom 823 writing experience would feel that different from RO’s Toffee, but I switched to Tsukushi this week and the difference was surprising. Now my pen flies across the page, even on TR Sanzen. Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference! 🥹
      I’m also so in love with the “potential”theme for 2025. It’s going to be an exciting month of reveals! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this year’s lineup as well! 🤩💗

    Thanks for this video! I use that system - A6 Original (English) and the Weekly Supplement. It works well for me. I use the Weekly Supplement to forward plan, and I track my days in the Original. Those thin notebooks are called the "Memo Pad Set" and they are indeed filled with Tomoe River Paper. I don't know if it's Sanzen or the predecessor, though. There is another notebook type, the Hobonichi Papers - they are thicker, glue bound, and usually have graphics on each page - that are *not* Tomoe River Paper. I have seen several CZcams vloggers who were disappointed with that paper.

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem +1

      Yay! I’m glad to hear it’s working well for you. I always considered myself a weekly planning person and a daily note taker, so that’s why I gravitated to the Cousin. It feels really good to have applied all the things I love about the Cousin into this smaller format. I was too impatient to wait for the A6 English release last year, so I hope it’s released on Sept 1 along with the other books! I miss being able to read the quotes! 😅
      Thank you for sharing additional info about the memo pad set vs the Hobonichi Papers. That is good to know! I was tempted to buy one of those last year because they had cute covers, and I’m glad I didn’t bc it would have been a disappointment for me as well to discover that it wasn’t TR paper!

    Those wee hobonichi notebooks are tomoe river. Could be OG, could be Sanzen. They made these before and after the change.
    The best part about them is that the pages are perforated, so they are super handy!!

    Just a thought for your system next year: get an A6 Avec and then and A6 day-free (to replace your cousin) and house them in one cover. The avec might also help minimize the bulk. I’m loving your system and how thoroughly you explain it!

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem +1

      Honestly, I think that is a really good suggestion and I think it would be really sweet to have an avec and a notebook together in one cover. The "problem" (it's me - I'm the problem 😂) is that I really like having one year together in one book. I don't think I have a logical explanation because things can always be migrated over from the first avec book to the second one. You make a great case and I'll have to give it more thought before deciding what to do in 2025!

    There's a couple companies releasing A5 planners without weeklies. Sterling Ink has an undated daily that has monthly spreads at the beginning and then a page per day (it's dated, but not year specific) and then Aura Estelle has the 365 Monthly, which is dated monthly spreads but then just 365 blank pages afterwards. They could be worth a look 😀

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem +1

      Ooh, I didn’t realize that SI had an A5 planner without weeklies. I’ll have to take another look at their offering. It kind of sounds like an A5 Day-Free mega, which is what I would have loved to see from
      Hobonichi. I’ve heard good things about Aura Estelle, but haven’t taken a close look at their books, so will do that as well! Thank you so much for the recommendations! 🥰

  • @moniques.journal.corner

    I love this. I feel like a lot of people are downsizing now or planning to for 2025. I'm planning to go a little smaller myself. I'm using a weeks and an A5 cousin, but I don't need a large planning area so I'm thinking about going with the Paper Tess Designs pocket daily for planning and then her B6 for my journaling and common place type things. I enjoy the daily pages in the A5, but the weeklies and I just don't get along and as much as I love my weeks I don't love the notes pages so I'm trying to see how I can condense. I love your A6/weekly supplement set up. It looks great!

    • @LittleCocoStudio

      That sounds like a great set up! I don’t need as much of a large planning area, either, although I’m constantly feeling like I need more room to take notes. I haven’t tried the pocket size, but I love how small and compact it is! 😍

    My A6 has been a memory keeper for years. I’ve never used it as a planner. After a third fail trying the Weeks planner I suddenly just started planning in my A6 & loved it. The Weeks supplement has been a great addition too although it’s very new.

Thank you so much for subscribing. 🥰 I'd love to see how you're using your weekly supplement - I'll have to check out your videos :) I love the Weeks so much in theory - it's even more portable and much slimmer. I think at a different stage in my life, it would work perfectly as a planner. I keep thinking it'd be nice to migrate over to the Weeks someday, but I think I'm too attached to the vertical weekly. 😅

    I really enjoyed seeing your weekly supplement! I am now considering picking one up for 2025 and having it be my purse planner. I love the Cousin so much, but it is too much book for me right now, so I am excited to see what all the brands come up with in A6 or B6 dated dailies for 2025. Your flip definitely has me leaning toward A6 though! And I need to rewatch your Weeks videos, I'm contemplating getting one for meal planning and health tracking.

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem

      Thank you! I am really loving the weekly supplement as well! I do think I have a sentimental attachment to the Cousin - it was the first system that truly clicked for helping me stay on top of my schedule in a way I wasn’t able to before with my GCal. And those dated daily pages for meeting notes was such a game changer for me. I forgot to mention this in my video, but I especially like flipping to the page I have a meeting scheduled on and preemptively adding talking points for things I want to discuss. So, I’m glad to have replicated that in the A6. I’m still loving my Weeks for meal planning and health tracking! I’m sure there’s a world where it all fits in the Cousin, but maybe I value portability and compartmentalization more than consolidation? 🤔 Something to reflect on. Thanks for being here! Hope you’re doing well! 💗

      @@LittleCocoStudio I feel you! It's difficult for me to not buy a Cousin because I always come back to it, and I love the dated daily for exactly the reasons you mention in the video and about preemptively recording information. Isn't it weird how a dated daily can be such a game-changer for indexing and use as a notebook? (Wait - did I just talk myself into one for 2025? 😂)

    I am having very similar feelings about my current system!! For about half the year I was exclusively using a cousin for both planning and creative journaling/collaging on the daily pages. It's bulked up so much and became too much for an everyday carry. I recently bought a weeks on sale to be my everyday carry/functional planner, but I miss the vertical layout and extensive space to take notes. I think in 2025 I'm going to get an A6 + weekly supplement for my everyday carry and a cousin to be my creative/memory keeping journal that lives at home. But like you I'm also trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the weeklies, etc. since I'll be using the A6 for that. Anyway! All that to say, I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do and to continue getting inspiration for my system!!

    • @LittleCocoStudio
      @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem

      🤩 I’m leaning towards the same thing as you - an A6 + weekly supplement as my EDC and my Cousin as my desk bound book. I really love how people use the Cousin’s daily pages for creative journalling/memory keeping. 😍 It’s so tempting to try that out, but I’m not sure if I could keep up with it. As a notebook, however, it’s perfect. Just a bit more
      functional (and boring 😅). As for the Weeks, I still love using them for meal planning and health tracking, although I’m starting to ask myself if there are opportunities to change things up there as well. 🤔

I also like having a portable system, I like to write and plan both at home and when traveling and it's nice to have a that option to bring them along. Mine are also getting a bit bulky and I'm looking forward to the thinness and sleekness of a new planner/journal. I am currently on the Take A Note B6, which I love except I hate writing in the times each day. @LittleCocoStudio  Před měsícem

      Thank you! ahhh, I love ina-ho so much! I have a feeling I'll always have one pen inked with it, aI can't wait to rotate it across my different pens to see how it writes! To be honest, I think an Avec is a very good offering from Hobonichi and I probably should consider it more strongly for next year. I think it addresses the issue of bulk, and I can imagine it must feel really good to crack open a new book in July.
      At the same time, I personally prefer having my entire year in one book. I'll have to reflect on why I feel this way, because right now I can't come up with good reasons other than the fact that I like having everything (plans, events, special occasions, etc) "contained" in one book. It's also possible that my preference is simply a result of my habit of using a full-year planner and it might take a bit more of a nudge for me to be more flexible with my system. What are your thoughts on two books versus one? Which one are you using this year?

    • @knowmatter
      @knowmatter Před měsícem

      @@LittleCocoStudioI’m in a weeks mega this year mostly because I really need a very contained space and realistic priorities to deal with executive function challenges.
