View looks great standing or sitting... wouldn't change a thing. Audio is great, too. Wish I had trail and terrain like that somewhere near me to give my R1250GSA a go off pavement.
Thank you so much for the comment I really appreciate the positive feedback. The video was intended to be the full trail unfortunately I tried to adjust the GoPro's angle on the second leg but I fubared it and all you could see was the ground directly in front of the bike **face palm**. As far as finding trails around you I'm not sure if you are familiar with an application and website called "OnX" but it's a really cool resource to find trails in your area. It gives them ratings and color codes the trials based on difficulty. I highly recommend it. Cheers.

@ohhhcrap I would say Coxey road from Apple Valley to Big Bear is mellow. Puerta la cruz road in Warner springs is an easy trail as well, but has more varied terrain.

Think you Are doing just fine, we don’t all have to run crazy on dirt trails to prove ourselves to someone 😊who knows to whom. I also ride off-road in second gear mostly, some bits I might go to third maybe fourth. But more often then not, second gear. I am planning to buy this same BMW R1300GS Trophy this summer. 😊

I try not to ever ride above my comfort zone at the same time I also want to grow my skill level so it's a thin line of risk I'm taking, after all I'm not getting paid or winning awards for completing the trail as fast as possible. Should it not do at least 220 miles on a tank? I am from EU, Croatia, close to Germany. The story riders here talk about when discussing the range on the new 1300GS is almost 400km on a tank of fuel.
To be fair I haven't really been monitoring my fuel consumption and it's rare I let the fuel level go below a 1/4 tank so you might be right. Next fuel stop I'll reset my mileage counter and let it run dry and report back in a future video. Cheers thanks again for watching!

Love the thomas mountain area for trails. Gets gnarly towards the backside near Anza. Congrats on the 1300!

Aye man no critique here. You getting out on the dirt at all is much more than most will do. It’s counts as off-roading as long as it’s not asphalt.
