Second Amendment A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. infringed: INFRINGED VERB infringed (past tense) · infringed (past participle) Actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.): "Making an unauthorized copy would infringe copyright." act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on: "His legal rights were being infringed" · "I wouldn't infringe on his privacy."
Now I am asking if the second amendment says shall not be infringed how come it has been infringed by Congress and the ATF? What give them the authority? In 1718, James Puckle invented and patented what was essentially a machine gun. According to Wikipedia, the Puckle gun “had a pre-loaded cylinder which held 11 charges and could fire 63 shots in seven minutes [9 shots per minute]-this at a time when the standard soldier’s musket could at best be loaded and fired three times per minute.” The gun was intended for use aboard British ships to repel boarders. Although the Puckle gun was never widely used, it was known at the time of the American Revolution, and the concept was certainly known since Leonardo da Vinci designed a rapid-fire weapon in 1481.
According to a “Firearms Technology and the Original Meaning of the Second Amendment” source, repeating arms, which can fire multiple times without reloading, were not unimagined in 1791. In fact, repeating arms long predate the 1606 founding of the first English colony in America. As of 1791, repeating arms were available but expensive. However, it is interesting to note that in 1792, Joseph Gaston Chambers approached the U.S. War Department with a musket that could fire 20 rounds in a minute “THE PROMISE OF AMERICAN REPEATING WEAPONS, 1791-1821”. Although Chambers failed to gain patronage from interested parties in the early 1790s, his weapons (repeating muskets, pistols, and seven-barreled swivel guns) were adopted by the U.S. Navy and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during the War of 1812 and were much sought after by European powers “THE PROMISE OF AMERICAN REPEATING WEAPONS, 1791-1821”. By the early 1820s, however, the complexity and inherent danger of the firing mechanism led to their wholesale abandonment “THE PROMISE OF AMERICAN REPEATING WEAPONS, 1791-1821”.
Another relatively rapid-fire weapon was the Ferguson Rifle invented by British officer, Major Patrick Ferguson. The Ferguson Rifle was a flint lock, but it was breech loading rather than the standard muzzle-loaded rifle. It could fire up to seven rounds per minute, two to three times faster than the muzzle-loading weapons of the day. Using the Ferguson Rifle, light infantry troops could continue loading and firing without breaking cover, even when lying prone. This rifle was used by the British against the Americans in 1777.
The Girandoni air rifle was an airgun designed by Tyrolian inventor Bartholomäus Girandoni circa 1779. The Girandoni air rifle was in service with the Austrian army from 1780 to around 1815. This rifle had a lethal combat range of 125 to 150 yards. It had the advantage of a high rate of fire, no smoke from propellants, and low muzzle report. It had a detachable magazine containing 19 rounds of ammunition. A single shot from the Girandoni could penetrate a one-inch wood plank or take an elk.
All these advancements were being made during the time that the second amendment was written. What we are being made to believe is that the redactors of this document had no foresight as to how advanced weapons can become. On the other hand, we are willing to accept that they were able to establish the system of electoral college to avoid the evil of democracy.
Me personally I don’t care that the 1155 was taken off their list. There’s more than enough video proof out there that RMAs 1155s are an extremely well made plate. I bought some last week and they’re about to arrive today. It’s a plate I would trust my life with.
I am a little confused. He keeps referring to NIJ doing this and NIJ doing that. I believe all NIJ labs are independent and just NIJ accredited? Per someone’s suggestion, they are already 3rd party labs. That and think I missed the disclaimer if the channel is or is not an RMA sponsored channel?🤔
I’ll be honest and say I don’t know what testing the plate again accomplishes. I understand there could be an argument that RMA changed/cheapened their production process and this SKU is no longer meeting that rating. However, if that is the thought process then testing a plate that the company sent you directly seems like it could be skewed, as if the company is already deliberately/negligently producing a deficient plate I don’t see them as being beyond trying to influence the results. Independent third party testing of random production line samples exists for a reason and that’s the appeal to me of the NIJ process. I’m not sure if there is an appeal aspect to this process, but given this story could easily cost RMA money in sales I could certainly see a reason for an appeal or even a lawsuit, assuming the NIJ isn’t immune from court proceedings.
@@EMAXXMASTER you completely missed my point. I am not saying RMA did fail. I am saying testing a plate that was sent to him by the manufacturer proves next to nothing if you're willing to entertain the idea that RMA is suspect in the first place. If he bought that plate off of RMA's website rather than had it sent to him it would give the result here more credence. There's a reason the plates are taken randomly as part of testing, to prevent manufacturers from cherry picking results. What Mike shows in the video in terms of the pictures of the plate supposedly after the test is enough to call into question what the NIJ found. While it's a nice piece of theater to have him test a plate himself, I don't think it adds anything, especially because people who doubt RMA will claim it was cherry picked.
I will add to my original comment as people have completely missed my point. I think what Mike shows in this video in terms of the photographic evidence of the NIJ results calls into question the claim that RMA failed. I do not see any pass through in the pictures either. Whether someone made a mistake or deliberately skewed the result, this NIJ result will undoubtedly cost RMA money and they deserve the opportunity to have their name cleared, whether in court of otherwise. I have another comment on this video essentially defending RMA, so how people read the above and somehow took it as a condemnation of RMA is mildly baffling. When I said "testing the plate again", I meant another time on this channel. Mike has already tested this plate on the channel in the past and it passed. The NIJ has already tested this plate multiple times and it passed. The question then becomes is the NIJ wrong, and if not did something happen to RMA's QC process, either accidentally or deliberately. If you're the type of person that doesn't believe RMA, I don't see how Mike testing a plate sent to him directly from the manufacturer is going to change your opinion. For all we know RMA cherry picked the plate for testing. That's why the idea of third party testing of random samples is an important part of the process. Even if the NIJ themselves is problematic that part of the procedure exists for a reason.
Or RMA got tired of paying for the NIJ certification, and felt that product reviews from you and iraqvet were ample certification and didn't need the industry.

Really hope the NIJ do better “spontaneous”, or “random” checks than they do on building materials. I work in a factory and we get a heads up when the sampling is going to be taken. Instead of everything being ramped up to break neck speed and using the worst grade materials piled up to make the product, suddenly everyone can work at a pace to ensure quality and we use all the highest grade stuff we have. Might be one day a year. After that it’s “PRODUCTION PRODUCTION PRODUCTION. We’ll get to the safety if we get threatened by OSHA. Quality? Pfft, if we get sued because someone’s floor gave out we’ll just get a couple more inspections that we know are coming.”…. At least the company charges 3x what it should go for though. 👍🏻
Question: What do you expect armor to do? Stop whatever rounds they are rated for. In the case of helmets, maintain survivable back face deformation. How does one validate that? They better perform well.
I paid enough for them...
Actually RMA was a pleasure to deal with. They had a sale and yet still sent new plates right away. Plates have have 10 year manufacturer guarantee.
You were Smiling ear to ear doing that test! Could tell you were having a blast!
I added some RMA plates to my cart in the midst of doing some research including your testing video, however Now I will add a few more.
If only I could hit the broad side of a barn the way you grouped that plate. 😢
Amazing video, Sir! Many thanks for all the great work that you do!
Thank you Mike for all your efforts and getting this important info to us!🙏🏽🇺🇸
Thanks For the great documentation of the "issue".
Love the video brother. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop!
Just bought these. Thank you. Theyre having a helluva deal too.
Prob already mentioned, but aren't the test subjects retained by NIJ for some period of tme, or at least returned to the manufacturer? You'd think they could be disputed and reviewed.
Probably wouldn't hurt to mention that black tip 30 06 is steel core armor penetrator
Definitely like the new camera angle, gets the full picture of what's going on
thanks for the report
Id like to see you test RMA’s newest Lightweight Level 4 Plate, Model #1165 @6.8lb. I got a set of these and haven’t seen anyone test it yet but I’m wondering if it will stand up like the heavier RMA Model 1155’s @ 8.3lbs that a lot of people have tested in the past. I got the 1165’s at the Black Friday price and couldn’t pass up such a great deal. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
I could absolutely see a govt agency try to tarnish a small company to ensure big players get a govt contract. Every video on RMA plate tests show they do muchh better than competitor plates.
they just dont want lvl 4 plates in the hands of civilians since they cant ban them outright yet they want to tarnish their reputation
Just bought a set of 1155mc last month. I feel confident with them
RICKY BOBBY 🏁🏁🏁🏁
Lol YEESS!
Thank you for what you do, Sir
An 1155 plate is what I have in the front of my rig.
It stays.
Damn , hammered that plate
11:58 Holy crap! That is a pure beauty of a sub gun!
I got the Battle Steel lvl 4's you tested years ago already for $99 bucks a pop lol! Too bad they're $159 now. They're still one of the cheapest and best bang for the buck plates. Thanks for the tip ;) You put both of these brands through their paces and then some!
I would insist on having a rep for my company present at any testing being done by the government. Especially if I had to pay that much money for it and contracts depended on it. This just stinks of government corruption.
I’ve been looking to replace my AR500 plates for several reasons and several friends and family members have gone this route and I’m going this route as well
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"
@@desertedcakewhat is wrong with AR500?
I'd still buy it.
When I bought plates I paid a little extra to lose 1lb per plate… However, if I buy a spare set I won’t overlook RMA plates. If Mike says they are good to go that’s all I need to hear.. May be wrong, but don’t see Mike taking money to say stuff is G2G..
My one gun shop jokingly calls RMA _"Reddits Main Armor"_ because of all the people on there that recommend it and post pictures of the candy they got with their plates.
Always important to have plenty of barrel length 😊
Comment for the algorithm. Keep up the good work!
You guys are free to not rely on any testing.
Can you do a test for RTS and Botach level 4 plates? Both of those brands make level 4 plates that are like 6 and 6.3lb(so a noticeable weight difference comparing to the 8lb Rma iv1155 plates.
Botachs Level IV uses Sic and has UHMWPE backer so it’s lighter. RTS is lighter because it has reduced ceramic strike face.
Love my RMA plates, even more now...
Hi, I liked very much your test, but there's something that I would like to have seen, it's the clay results, since at the end of the day, no passing through is the most important, but depending on the deformation at the time of the impact the injuries and the pain on the carrier can be strong even to lose the consciousness.
Thankfully I've never had mine tested 😏 but trust the product.
I have a set of RMA 4's. and all the vids I've seen make them look to be exactly how I want. So if a 3-letter has some kind of concern, let's see their youtube vid?
I wear these plates with pride and confidence my life is good hands.
Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
infringed:
INFRINGED
VERB
infringed (past tense) · infringed (past participle)
Actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.):
"Making an unauthorized copy would infringe copyright."
act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on:
"His legal rights were being infringed" · "I wouldn't infringe on his privacy."
Well regulated meant: have your shit together, don't be fudds.
I love the energy but barking up the wrong tree.
Well said. Excellent historical references proving your point.
I want one of those solothurn anti tank German rifles
If money was an issue what is the best armor? And can you place a special coded metal armor plate behind the best armor?
Thanks for sharing the fun!
I’m curious to see a 45-70 lever action rifle get some
Great video, very informative and thank you for posting.
Worth looking into ceramic , steel at some point will become age specific. Knee shoulder back etc Thanks for vid.🇺🇸👍
Me personally I don’t care that the 1155 was taken off their list. There’s more than enough video proof out there that RMAs 1155s are an extremely well made plate. I bought some last week and they’re about to arrive today. It’s a plate I would trust my life with.
Someone with some $$$ and knowhow needs to start an independent testing center. Anything the gov't has a hand is can MORE easily be corrupted.
There a video out there where an 1155 stops black top coming out of a 300 win mag from about 15 yards.
A black tip 30-06 at 7 yards is insane
I trust your vids more than the NIJ.
At 8:52 you are searching for a word, and that word is: shenanigans.
@@assclapper2231no kidding
Did u not see the pictures of the plate the nij lab tested in the video??? The photos nij themselvs took showed no penetration.
The level 4 battle still held up better I believe
Or RMA got tired of paying for the NIJ certification, and felt that product reviews from you and iraqvet were ample certification and didn't need the industry.
Thanks for you testing.
I just bought my first plate, and it was an 1155.
Well thanks for the info. Very happy with Tacticon personally. Best of luck to RMA,
As a fairly new shooter (2-3 years) but experience business professional for nearly 30 years. I find the 2A influencer community to be weird. Attack each other, or any other random entity, finds ways to disagree just for JP. General undertones of “I’m right and they wrong…”
Seems like all messaging is well prepared vernacular to create commotion with audience i.e. verification reverse. One sided messaging devoid of balance perspectives. And we wonder why we have a hard time growing the community…. Just weird
Gun community is full of boomers who hate their own offspring and each other and have infected our country for decades.
Younger generations are slowly changing that. There are some 'tough guys' who want to be the new 'pioneer' of some new practice or idea, just so they can get exposure and success.
Lots of people in the current gun community are grifters, and want to overcharge everything. (GBRS group comes to mind)
If you had a different perspective you should have just stated it instead of the garble you wrote.
Thank you Sir
Awesome video. In regards to any armor that can stop 50BMG, pretty sure you would be dead anyways...🤭
Im not touching mug club with a 10ft pole
Yep
How come? Honest question.
“That plate had very bad day”
I wonder who is going to get a Xmas card from a manufacture
RMA is presently appealing. The negligence in accuracy of NIJ testing is total garbage. RMA make a solid product with supplemental evidence to prove it.
seems so
@@Mrgunsngear I’m confident Blake and his crew will prevail. I stand by their product. RMA are definitely appreciative of this channel and the data you’ve provided, Mike.
If its a government funded organization, why would you have to PAY to have them test it???
30 Grand to shoot a plate a few times with some clay?
Send it to me, and I'll certify plates for $500.
Thanks so much
Do you have a concealed carry insurance if you do who and why? Have you ever heard of attorneys on retainer they are a law firm and not insurance? Your thoughts?
That is a strong plate. I need one.
Shooting a 30-06 in a t-shirt... I didn't like shooting a 30-30 in a t-shirt. Now if they'd make a plate that would cover from the base of your neck to your waist.
If the Govt is saying it then I don't believe it.
I might trust Buffman range over the NIJ.
14:19 nice
I have a comment that’s different and probably a dumb question but does the ACOG TA01 (regular bdc/ch) only light up at night?
Question: What do you expect armor to do? Stop whatever rounds they are rated for. In the case of helmets, maintain survivable back face deformation. How does one validate that? Well, my first guess would be to shoot said armor and examine the results. IMO, a field environment replicating worst case scenarios is optimal for testing. Well, that's not scientific!!!! Screeches the normies on the gun pages. To wit I reply, I absolutely don't care! I believe what my eyes tell me and when I see guys like Mr Guns & Gear, who I consider to be reputable, I'm satisfied with the results. Let me tell you who I don't trust. The Government. EVER!
Great Stuff 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
I love that shirt.

Cool video bro
At least we know that if you actually get shot and killed while wearing these plates...... your estate can RMA them!
Davidson Defense. Nice.
What do you think of that Davidson defense rifle?
Im watching this video outside and started looking for geese😑😑🤣
