Dan severn destroying dlo browns ribs, giving him his chest protector gimmick.
Dude you just brought back my childhood and teenage years of the WWF/WWE. I miss those years. If you know, you know.
Ok, the Undertaker American Badass presentation, fair enough. But come on, at least half of these are very well remembered and widely discussed
100% agreed. I have sweared half of these are even in existing WhatCulture & many MANY similar other channel weekly lists.
I think Rikishi’s jump off the top of the cage was more impressive than his fall off the hell in a cell at Armageddon. I definitely think the hay truck down below cushioned his fall.
He also fell backward off the cell though, so I would say it's pretty close.
And could have easily clipped the sides of the truck bed, which no one ever mentions...@@Rayzersword
I always felt that fall onto the truck bed was super weak.
Of course it did you think they would just drop him in the back of a truck he’d be paralyzed lmao
Yes the HIAC fall was weak AF. His leap from the top of the cage was impressive for both wrestlers involved.
During Undertakers unholy alliance days with the Big Show, he would sometimes wear casual biker clothes and talk in a more casual manner but he was still in his gothic supernatural gimmick but then when he returned 8 months later that's when he became a normal human who is the American Badass.
He was injured as well
The Radicalz was such a stacked group looking back. I didn't appreciate them at the time but what a talented group. Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Stevie Richards.
Where did you get Stevie Richards from? Where did you come up with that?
@user-ov7uv3wx6i shortly after the Benoit situation they replaced the records on their website to say Stevie Richards won the Royal Rumble instead of Benoit, then the Internet just went with it. If you Google image search "Benoit Stevie Richards" I'm sure some will still live on.
😏😉😂😂 If you know, you know.
@@user-ov7uv3wx6iPeople love to judge and won't forgive a Human being who made a big mistake
Chris Benoit was a victim like all of Us not even counting what the business did to his brain/conscious
@@JorgeHoek-hc4zkthere’s mistakes and then there are murdering your wife and kid mistakes. He was my favourite man, but some things are unforgivable.
To be quite honest on such a touchy subject as the Chris Benoit subject is for the organization and for many fans who know of the tragedy, I think it was very classy, super intelligent on your word choice, and very respectable your way in words around that topic during this video. A true work of art, to be so factual yet taking your stance not necessarily withstanding amongst the fans who miss their old favorite wrestler. Respect
There are so many stars from the attitude era that just got forgotten
remember Ryan Shamrock? damn....
Cold as ice 3:04 hit him with that mufugelbow

@@skyatollah2skyharder276 Severn better pay the rent
Taker was very much well on his way to the Biker gimmick, even when teaming with Show towards the end of his 99 run. His terrible "motorcycle" promo with Show in the desert was a tell. haha.
Yea…nobody Ever mentions the whole “WCW Mike Awesome wrestled WWF Tazz for the ECW World Title…hOW cRAZY”
Thanks for the video, a few of these i didn't know or totally forgot about.
I fondly remember the Attitude Era, "Raw is War" video.
But then again, I was in my late teens, when the AE began :)
damn near broke mah neck!
A couple more: HHH first referenced his "King of Kings"moniker in 1998 when he challenged Owen and Shamrock to a triple threat after the KOTR PPV.
He also referred to himself as "Triple H" on tv the first time in December 1995 during an interview with Brother Love.
Don’t do that….Chris Benoit Deserves to Be Mentioned With All The Greats ….Cuz He Was A GREAT!!!
Despite what he did…In The Ring He Was A GOAT.
I was actually in the live crowd for that Mick Foley promo!
What Chris Benoit did to his family was unforgivable but he was truly one of the best in the ring
Agreed. His ring work was some of the best work, and he was phenomenal in the ring. But a lot of people can differ character and real life. But the same people will talk up Snuka but bury Beniot. It is possible to admire the ring work of the character, but hate and despise the person
@@artwarda5285 description of Logan paul
Chris Benoit shouldn’t be spoke about in any positive light whatsoever. He didn’t even make the team and the fans are still crying over it because of the team and his lack in game play is what matters to us today
"Free Radicals."
You guys made my morning.
You get what you give
That was New radicals.
It really sucks that Saturn and Malinko weren't used very well in WWF, they were so fucking good. All four of them were top talent.
Saturn got himself in trouble and they tried to bury him with the moppy gimmick but he was so talented he made it work. With Malenko, I think they just wanted him to be someone he wasnt. Instead of embracing his Iceman gimmick and just letting him be a technical machine, they wanted to try to make him charismatic and more marketable somehow and ended up turning him into a weird sex addicted creep. Poor booking choices for both of them for sure.
You're missing one more major return at Survivor Series 98... Duane Gill!
Oh please 😂 Duane Gill was the best in that movie too but he didn’t get a good look in it so he had a good look and a bad laugh at it and I don’t know what else I can say for him but he is the most amazing character ever I hope you like it
Easily the Fully Loaded '00 dive from the top of the cage was way more impressive. At Armageddon '00, he did have a big fall, but onto a truck full of hay.
HHH first references being "The King of Kings" in 1998, and calls the ring "my house" in 1997 before Undertaker calls it "my yard in 2001."
6:05 i love how they're all wearing black and yellow.
How about the fact that they ran a very random one-off storyline where Edge fought Val Venis on Raw, and they made a big deal over the fact that Edge was (shoot) engaged to Venis's sister at the time? Then after the match, Edge said Venis wouldn't be his best man, Christian would be.
One week later, zero mention of this. And much like Adam Copeland's first marriage, it disappeared quickly.
Gareth’s a Matt Berry fan 😂
What's funny is that the commentators and other wrestlers never aknowledged Undi's biker persona on-screen during that brief 1999 stint. Us fans were probably like "Wait, why does he look like that now?", and the Fed were like "just roll with it".
No they said "keep rollin rollin rollin rollin"
@@mattjindrak Even funnier: that song didn't even exist until like...a year later. XD
@@mesousagaby740why do you say probably? Did you not see it live?
The Shane McMahon falls, are absolutely well remembered. Everyone gets extremely pumped gor a Shane match bc of tbise moments specifically.
I actually think it gets overlooked that, after Shane’s fall, Steve Blackman also jumped from nearly as high up.
@@All5Horizonsyeah and he wasn’t exactly known for leaving the mat, let alone soaring thru the air
Only the Undertaker could wear those glasses and look badass
"look badass" is a bold statement
Biker taker is who I grew up with
What about Kurt angle moonsault top of the cage raw
One of Raleigh’s sports radio personalities says there are two pivotal moments that top PNC Arena’s all-time best: Game Seven of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals and Shane McMahon’s fall at SummerSlam 2000.
Undertaker wore his ABA attire in the summer of 98 on a Raw outside as he's slowly entering the arena. This is around the time he does the work/shoot about staying loyal and bi5 leaving for greener pastures.
I remember Undertaker at that time even cutting a promo about him and the Big Show riding Harleys.
Oh god that shit was so over the top is was kind of hilarious
You guys talk about that Mike Awesome match on like 8-10 lists per year 🤦🏽♂️
Only twice I thought a wrestler died on the job. Mick Foley when he fell off the top of the cage through the table and Shane O Mac doing his leap of faith. Both should never be repeated but holy s**t. Absolutely legendary moments
Mick Foley is the most important person on this planet right here and he has the best record of any of us on this earth so far in terms that I don’t know what he has done in his life
YEEEES. 7:44
I think about this spot All the time, it's one of the only times I remember my best friend and I along with his dad all wanting to rewind and rewatch that spot multiple times after the show was over because we recorded it on VHS, it look Absolutely Perfect and I can't believe neither guy broke ribs or bruised sternums.
😄👍
Rikishi did suffer some kind of injury from this splash from which he never fully recovered. He told the story in a shoot interview but I cant remember the specifics of the injury.
@@dessertstorm7476 oh wow really? I know he got hurt doing the truck spot with Undertaker, must have forgotten about hearing it happened here aswell.
😅👍
I think Mero *did* return full-time to wrestling for early NWA:TNA around 2003-05. Though it wasn't literally "full-time" he was a regular on their strange PPV/TV schedules under his old Johnny B. Badd gimmick...
Honestly I do prefer Rikishi's Hell in a Cell drop over his Steel Cage one
Half of these are talked about ad naseum
This list is…just a list of frequently covered moments.
What about the time stone cold voluntarily vacated the intercontinental championship to challenge the rock
10 acts that nearly everyone remembers
Anything Mick Foley.. count me IN!❤️🤗✌️
I remembered the Tazz/ Mike Awesome thing. And, I actually had this Tazz shirt - 2:39
Whatculture is so dead. RIP
“Unholy Alliance” Undertaker was definitely the precursor to the American Badass…. While he was working through injury with Big Show…. He always sat back, talked trash on the mic, and wore baseball caps and sunglasses
remember that awful promo about them riding off to the desert for a no-homo soul searching retreat
@@dessertstorm7476 sounds familiar… wasn’t there some other part of that retreat where that Big Show had to carry his motorcycle back or something like that? 😂
@@Donkey_Lips Yes. It was a very strange promo. A lot of Takers mic work was super cringy and that entire tag team run was weird. It makes sense why he had Bearer be his mouthpiece for so many years.
I feel like I just watched a reupload of this channel's most stale Attitude trivia.
Maybe controversial opinion: Taker’s American Badass gimmick wasn’t very good.
Don’t lie like that fr lol
He was the only guy that liked it
I remember thinking at the time " nobody liked DOA, now they bring Undertaker back as one."
That’s not unpopular a lot folks ain’t like it even Vince
You can hate Benoit for what he did, but you can't deny what he was in the ring. It is possible to separate the two things. Abraham Lincoln was a slave owner, but he is still one of our most beloved presidents.
Lincoln did not own slaves
Or he's a monster and no part of his life should be celebrated
Benoit was one of the best wrestlers to step in the ring, period 👌
I CANT IMAGINE WATCHING “THE UNDERTAKER “….AS A BIKER
This guy talks like Jimmy Saville 😂
Chris Benoit is still worth mentioning
Unless I'm way wrong, 9:12 is WWE In Your House DX PPV from Dec. Held in Springfield MA. I was there.
Free Radicals.
Nice chemistry pun 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There was an even earlier iteration of proto-ABA Undertaker (sunglasses, bandanna, the works) that people say that it was Mark being pissed off at a real-life setback (his luggage was lost by the airport), and Mark being upset was written as Taker being upset and demanding to see Vince throughout the evening--see the Jun. 8th, 1998 RAW for this specific event; Taker interfered on the Chainz vs. Droz (already concluded), Mark Henry vs. Vader (seemingly a no contest due to the interference), Dustin Runnels vs. Val Venis (also a no contest) matches; as well as the "Humanitarian of the Year" ceremony.
On the other hand, Vince also loaned other former-ECW talent to ECW although this was even obscurer--the Dudley Boyz made an appearance on one of the last ECW TV shows (Dec. 15th, 2000) tagging with Tommy Dreamer against CW Anderson, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger.
Jump back a year earlier than that and you have Taker wearing a bandana and glasses in the Shotgun Saturday Night intro.
I also remember The Undertaker looking like the American Badass in the Kuwaiti interview where Vader attacked the host in 97.
How about this one. In 1995, on the cover of one of the WWF Magazines, maybe October? November?...Taker was shown on a motorcycle, and also the feature article.
I think there was a mix up when his luggage got lost, he lost it for the PPV Mayhem in Manchester in 1998, he wrestled Kane in his street clothes.
I almost stopped watching wwe when main event rikishi was pushed.
It was so bad
I remember the undertaker time era of that ABA preview. It was like late August or September 1999
I remember this undertaker was dressing more like himself. I think it was like September 1999 time
Bret Hart is still alive, but Brian, Owen, British and Jim have died in real life.
The Rock did what the Rock had to do to get to the top of the world, if you smell what the Rock is cookin'.
Dope
Claiming no one talks about the most famous thing Shane McMahon has ever done is an interesting decision
In a the picture at the start, am I the only one that thought taker looked like Elton John?
I think in mid late 1999 WWE was clearly experimenting with The Undertaker's character before he left for a few months for surgery before they greenlit The American Baddass once he returned in 2000 which was a smart move since the Ministry of Darkness storyline got ruined and the Deadman gimmick started getting stale at that time.
Shane's fall not talked about? What???
They're not really fans and weren't watching back then.
@@skyatollah2skyharder276 What? That's when wrestling was still good. I know a ton of peeps who watched them. How old are you? 14?
The fall onto the truck was awful. It wasnt even a prooer chokeslam he just kinda pushed him lol an as soon as i saw the truck i knew what it was for.
I love how this channel uses Chris Benoit to make money but they pretend to hate him. Say what you want about the WWE but they never say Chris Benoit's name.
What would you have them do? This is a site that talks wrestling history and the guy had a pretty prolific career, despite the ending. It’s not like they’re praising or even turning a blind eye to the murders, so I don’t see the problem.
We all know Chris didn't kill his family. But we also all know lies is the way to $.
Ppl rather lie n ruin legacies then tell the truth.
@@DelilahBeardyou’re joking right 😂
@@DelilahBeardyou don’t speak for me. Dude ended up being a piece of shit murderer.
@@DelilahBeardyes he did 😂
If people can separate michael jackson the man from michael jackson the artist, then people can separate Benoit the wrestler from Benoit the killer. Just like OJ Simpson and the dozens of other celebrities and athletes who also have a less than pleasent past
No.
@waxmandr yes. Personal opinion or not, Benoit was a great performer, plain amd simple.
Huh? You mean Michael Jackson who literally beat every single court case he was ever in because of lack of evidence?
Michael wasn't guilty of anything though, dumbarse.
Michael Jackson was found not guilty and his accusers admitted it was made up
I didn't know Brian pilman was part of the heart dynasty
Was that Chris Benoit hate ?
Do you talk like that in real life?! 😂
Cactus Jack’s return was the greatest pop I’ve ever experienced in WWF(E) history.
I like how they said "Chris Benoit's career was intertwined with wrestlers who really do deserve to be mentioned"....I mean, Benoit doessss deserve to be mentioned. Maybe im alone, maybe this is a highly unpopular opinion but Benoits wrestling career was amazing. His personal life is clearly awful, no arguing that, but his in ring career should be noted. That night where him & Eddie stood in the ring, both as champions, is one of the best moments of that WWE Era. It deserves to be noted, & his career as a great wrestler, willing to put even his severely degenerated brain on the line to wrestle, should be noted. So to say he doesn't deserve to be mentioned is nonsense & I know I'll get hate because of his life ending decisions but you cannot deny his in ring contributions.
You are not the only one who feels that way.
Wrestling is the reason he did what he did. People like Vince and Bischoff weren't make sure he was safe. They wanted to make money, human cost be damned. Beniot, his victims and many others are victim of the carny fucks like Vince.
Chris Benoit was one of my favorite wrestlers from 96 onwards and that is part of me, no matter what.
No.
Benoit, Guerrero & Cena meant everything to my wresting fandom during the 2000s. His career lives on to me. His last days were horrible but for history to be true it must be told in completion. All the good, all the bad and everything inbetween.
Fully Loaded dive is more impressive than the chokeslam off the top.
No contest.
Nobody will top Foley coming off the top...so don't do it anymore
When WWE was good
Can something be "a" zeitgeist?
What about GTV?
Please'ah don't talk-ah like that-ah, I can't-ah finish-ah this video-ah
I think the fall rikishi did onto the truck is more iconic because he legit didnt wanna do that one at all.
That one looked sh*t 😂😂😂 all due respect to fatu, but it was visually nothing interesting 🤷♂️
Christ you talk like you're doing a James Hetfield impression. Why do you end sentences like that 😂
Why-uhh End sentences like that-uhhhh?
Stop bullying and get a life
@@Simonius86grow up and stop being a bully
@@raphealmilton7979 not being a bully just pointing out what it sounded like. At the end of the day he’s doing a better job than I am by even producing a video in the first place so my opinion shouldn’t mean shit.
@@Simonius86 well excuse me for defend someone who may or may not have an speech impediment. I've noticed people tend to focus more on how the person sounds rather than the topic there talking about.
Brawl for All.
Brawl for all is mentioned frequently.
chris benoit needs to be mentioned again and again. he was a guy who gave it all, wwe wellness policy or the absence of it, is what did him over.
Plenty of people have cte and a failed wellness program that did them wrong, only 1 murdered his family. Benoit is a garbage human being and will never be mentioned in a positive light by any real wrestling fan or company again.
@@Oregonduck09 plenty of people did commit suicide and became invalid because of the approach of wwe. Benoit took more bumps than most. Remember that sickening headbutt from the top rope? guess not, because you aren't a wrestling fan but a snowflake. you can't speak for the reality of fans though companies may have their own corporate approaches. Regardless of how he was as a person, he was an amazing wrestler and that is what matters when we are discussing wrestling. do take out time and learn about people like Owen and Chyna amongst numerous others. WWE did them hard, and that is what monopolisation does.
That Shane McMahon fall was the main one I remember! I stopped watching by the time the other one happened, other then test’s reaction to the fall!
I hated this version of the undertaker lol and he’s one of my favs but I was glad went back to the DeadMan
He has the weirdest way of talking.
The problem with these channels constantly doing lists…you end up making shit lists where you claim things are rare but literally everyone remembers them if they were watching back then. Not a single of these on the list made me go “oh I never noticed”. Like the timelines aren’t even right on some of them. Just…no
This host talks like triple H. He keeps saying "ahh" after almost every sentence. Holy crap its freaking annoying
Dammit, now that's all i hear now ahh.
I was able to live through the only actually good era of WWF/E... The Attitude Era
"Nobody Ever Talks About"?????????
11:01; first African American WWE champ.

Why’s man talking like that though?
And that's the bottom line!!!
The dive was better
They ruined Kane after that
god the way you finish every sentence pisses me off
Mick Foley? No.
Attitude era ended in October of 1999 when Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara left
Take a note from Undertaker and shut your mouth about things you weren't present for. Either speak about his in ring talents or don't bring him up.
the way this guy ends words is so, so annoying.
