In this tutorial I will demonstrate how to make these really cute decorative hanging towels. This is a perfect gift for Mother's Day.

Tea towel (1) - (18" x 28") - cut in half
Fabrics- 1 fat quarter
-cut 20" x 6"
Ribbon - 1 1/2" x 20"
Heart - (2) 4" x 4 1/2"

So cute. Is the ribbon washable? I have seen some projects ruined by trim that bled onto the other parts of a project. Looks like you are using ribbon with wire on the edges. How has this held up from washing or are these strictly decorative? Love all your tips and cute, quick projects. :)
Hi Angela. I recommend you read the fabric content of the ribbon label to make sure it can be washed. Also, I recommend you was all the fabrics and towels before cutting and sewing things together. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Pinning the applique motif would not be necessary if you use wonder under instead of a second fabric. Once the motif is turned right side out, press it in place after removing the paper (follow product instructions), and stitch in place as you would normally. Thanks for a pretty project!
