CSA, Czech Airlines, becomes the 261st airline to join our Flight in the Cockpit series! The national airline of the Czech Republic was the second airline in the world to initiate successful jet airliner services (in 1957 using the Tu-104) and simultaneously the first airline to fly regular jet-only routes (between Prague and Moscow).
In this 4 hour program we cover the 3 main types operates by the airline, the Airbus A330 for long haul service, the Airbus A319 for medium haul routes and the ATR for regional services.

Only 10 minutes of extra fuel. That's not very reassuring.
GNX157 that’s 10 mins above the minimum that’s why they call it extra so no worries. That’s totally normal
Hey! The flight cannot continue and depart with such a low fuel without needed final reserves. They always have final reserve fuel. So as mentioned they had 10minutes extra. So they do have minimum ofp fuel for the flight. They can drop the alternate airport off if the conditions are met.
9:10 So it's fuel for the flight, plus fuel to reach an alternate, then another 10 minutes? If I heard him right, he said 10 minutes extra, and that will allow for one go around? That's not what you guys are implying. I know extra fuel has been an issue with pilots for a long time. They want more and the airlines less because it costs $$ to carry even a bit extra fuel around. 9:10
@@GNX157 So yes in this case it means that they have only 10minutes of fuel until final reserves. If they had to go around they would declare "minimum fuel" which states to ATS service that they have sufficient fuel to reach their alternate destination and next is mayday fuel.
