TOUCHNEW Markers Review! - New Copic alternative?

- Got these 60 TouchNew markers on Ebay for 40$ CAD and I must say that I'm surprised with the quality.
Don't like:
-No brush
-Skin color are more pink
-Not refillable
-Do not trust the color cap. You must test them first!
Like:
-Nice colors
-I like that the nib is not too pointy and more roundy
-Good price
-It blends well. carefull not to apply too much ink tho, so it does not bleed.
-Good ink
And Yes, I would recommand these to new artists or artists trying to save up some money!

Beautiful work! I ordered the same 60-pack set, and I'm so excited for their arrival.
Under 2 min and showed me how nice they work.
I just got then yesterday, and they're great, I use them a lot. What makes it even better for me is that the markers are in black which helps the colors stand out more when I'm selecting them. The only problem is that I got two pens with it, a crystal tip pen and a ghost writer, and I have no idea what to do with the ghost writer lmao
My mum (mom) recommended this video to me cause I want copic markers but these are the same but cheaper

Okay, this might sound a little weird but I'm a cheap boi. I get my TouchNew markers off of Wish. I got a 36 pack of markers for 18 bucks so I just thought if anyone wants to get cheap prices go to wish. :)

I asked for ohuhu markers for Christmas last year, but my mom got me TOUCHNEW markers. They work pretty well for me, tbh.

It depends the ink you are using! Usually with markers I would use pigma micron inking pen first and then color. But As I was using winsor and newton black indian ink I could only use it at last because it would do a mess on the paper with the markers.

Just bought them im having a hard time learning to blend, do you have any tips? And really amazing vid i will sub surely
If you want to blend them try using paler to darker; apply the paler color, then with a darker color apply the ink next to pale and then use again the paler color you used first and color over it at the edge between the 2 colors.

When I saw that these markers didn't have a brush nib, I immedietly went on amazon for a colorless blending brush. I found copic blending brush for only four dollars! I suggest you get that one.
I'm not really sure but you can do is use a dark a color and blend the light color with the dark color

Nice one. Two questions. What did you use for the white highlights in the eyes for example? And what marker did you use for the black outline at the end?
I used signo uniball gell pen for the white highlights and for the black ink I used winsor & newton indian black :)
Those are the Coptic alternatives I have (Because I’m too broke to afford copic) and it’s good to know they are just as good!

I meant to get Ohuhu markers and accidentally got these and the 25 skin color pack and 3 jelly roll pens in white off of Amazon with prime for 56.03... pretty good but I can't find an already made empty color sheet.

Are you using papers you can use markers on? I use canson XL Mixed media for my markers drawings :)

Streaks just means your paper can handle more ink, go over it again to get rid of streaks, but don't saturate as it will bleed through your lineart!

I used 28 fruit pink, 18 peach and 135 Pale cherry pink :) I also blended in a pale purple for the shadow: 75 Dark blue light

Oneee Chan , If you need help finding colors making a swatch key is the easiest way to learn your markers!

Oneee Chan a switch key is where you have a piece of paper and do a sample of each color so you can look at it and know what one you'll want to use 😊 hope this helps

Hello, I want to buy these items. Did it run out or dry quickly while using
nur I would say they lasted quite a while with me, I still use these same markers now. I use them mostly for background colouring and such. I didn’t use them as much as i use copic markers but I still find it surprising they lasted me this long. Some did dry quicker than others tho. For the price Its worth it!

Even though im right handed i keep smudging them and also they bleed out ALOT and i understand that they will bleed through most of my markers do but i was just a little disappointed with these sorry if i sound salty :3
Hi Jess F, sorry for the late answer! And don't worry, we all have our opinions. These wasn't bleeding so much for me. Its normal it will bleed through the paper, its like that for every markers but if it was bleeding on the side and out of the ink lines, it might be that you are not using good paper. I used Canson Mix media for this drawing :)

Shinhan touch is better than touch new markers, Shinhan touch are more pricey, they have a brush nib and also refillable. Shinhan touch markers are also markers i use everyday!

I'd say the ink quality is the same, for the nibs I think this one is a bit more roundy and not so pointy compared to touchfive which is a very good thing.

These markers confuse me... I bought ohuhu markers and they look like these and from what I see the colour numbers match up. Are they the same company rebranded or something?
Hi! I don't wanna give false information but I believe that ohuhu and Touch new are from different company. They make the body of the markers look alike and colors. I have some shinhan touch twin markers, which are like copics and refillable and they have the same number

Actually, you swatch them side to side, you'll see the colours are still different despite having the same colour names and numbers.
My is weird is a touchnew I draw but is not like you as you did
I have TouchNew markers but there are 80. rip me. ;p
I own these markers and they are not as they show in this video they have this weird thing and when you blend them it looks like you spilled water on your page and you have to put so many layers to get an even tone which is very annoying if you want to have a pale / light skin tone also they smudge which is also annoying these markers have a great colour range but the use of the marker is very complicated.
I colored with these markers for years now and did not have any troubles with them, if I may ask what kind of paper are you using? The paper quality is very important with coloring. I either use strathmore or canson mixed media paper. Also when blending, do you use the colorless blender? If so, don't use the colorless blender to blend as it can do a water spilled look. When you blend also, make sure that the colors is not for exemple: pale pink with dark green. When blending try to go pale to darker, or colors with similarity. :)
Derwent academy sketching paper and I don’t use the blending marker thing they work pretty ok when you do a full body drawing but when it’s the face only it works like that idk if it’s my crappy drawing / colouring skills or the pen lol

@@Jess-db5xi I remember using Derwent paper before, though theres different kind of sketchbooks, the one i used had good quality paper but only good for pencils sketch on my part. If I was using markers on it it would bleed out of the inking lines and the blending was a joke to the paper lol. Sometimes you just gotta try different kind of papers until you find yours. :)
