TIP: As a homemade Tackle maker , I bet you could vary the spin rotation of that Devon Minnow, by sliding on various friction discs, made of different types of Material. Maby use a hand paper punch, ect. A fairl slow rotation , would Silloette, its black backtop, giving the Illusion of a Minnow Swimming out of Rythem. Also, rear discs of various course textures, would give off a hum type buzz. Experiment with scrap plastics, heat a textured knurled metal handle and imprint a texture into the surface of your bearing discs. a glass bead , would make the devon minnow spin quite fast. Look forward to hearing back what you came up with.

Sorry for the delay in responding... I've been trying a few modifications as you suggested but, as the river is in flood at the moment, I haven't been able to give anything a swim. ... I have managed to give myself a few blisters; man that plastic gets hot!! The idea of a slow spin sounds like a good plan and I'm looking forward to giving it a go asap....
