- What do your tattoos mean? My star was just because I thought it looked good. My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress :)
- How do you make money? - CZcams/Freelance film/photo & my clothing brand

- What editing program do you use? - Premier Pro CC on Mac
- Did you go to university? - Nope, everything I know about photo/video is self taught.
- Will you be going to the Olympics? - Hopefully if they introduce Marathon Kayaking into the Olympic program!

- What steady cam do you use? - A really cheap one from ebay.
- Why aren't you training for kayaking anymore? - I see new opportunities everyday, I'm just grabbing them as they appear and keep working hard, right now that's CZcams & Film. I'm happy I made the change!
- How long do your vlogs take to edit? - They vary massively, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 6+

Penny vs. Nickel:
There's a different between the 2 boards. The penny ride more like a "smoother" skateboard, while the Nickel ride more like a longboard. It depends on you to decide if you want a penny that rides more like a skateboard or a longboard. But the nickel is bigger than the penny, which makes it easier to learn on how to ride it. But the penny is small, which make it easier to carry it around to travel and stuff. So yea...

Actually Mr.Ben Brown, skating mongo is more dangerous, not as sturdy. If you hit a rock or crack skating mongo you are more likely to fall.
i have to agree but to be honest its his choice and tkyel jackson who is sadly no longer with us used to skate mongo and was one of the best street skaters i have ever known
yeah, definitiely, Im just saying thats probably why there is so much controversy over it, it doesnt matter to me. I actually started mongo.

How is it more dangerous? If you push with your left or right, it doesnt matter because your pushing with the foot that is most comfortable and the way your brain and body wants to.
I prefer the nickel as it is better at turning and control, where as i can't fit my feet onto the penny!

I bought a penny board because of you and wiped hard. My shoulder is completely regrowing itself and haven't been able to move my left arm for a week. Guess I should have started on nickel lol
Check Pennyboards instagram they said to return all the glow ones because something was wrong with them during manufacturing so they could fix them and give you new ones

I came across this a few days ago, I've always ridden original and needed a new penny and I decided to stick with it. Nickel is a little too big meaning less portability.

if people are using my penny board for the first time i just say put whatever foot on the board feels natural and just use that one, it doesn't make a shred of difference anyway and in my mind penny boarding is all about chillin and going for a cruise whatever way you like, no rules, no restrictions, just a smooth cruise

Recommend If you have size 11 shoes or below to go with the nickel or original but if you have any bigger size feet go with the nickel. i have both and size 10 size feet (uk) and i can ride both fine. check it out on my instagram on my channel if you want to see my custom designed nickel!

About the whole "Mongo"/Pushing with the wrong foot it´s cuz if you push with your back foot you can steer with your front foot as you push and you will be alot more stable and get way more speed :)
Yeah, we don't have to change our foot positions, cause it doesn't really matter if you are just cruising. I push using my left foot and my right foot is on the front bolts.
i watched this video a couple months ago looking on which to buy a penny or nickel board, and thats how i discovered the greatest youtuber ive seen, i eventually got a penny holiday series and love it and jusr stumbled upon this video once more thanks ben for everything
Penny is alot easier when you are travelling. It fits in your backpack, while the Nickel is alot bigger. And you don't want to carry to much stuff. And the penny turns easier then you nickel

Im just thinking about, selling my brand new nickel fade. I bought the little one first, and i think that the little is that much cooler, than the nickel its just my personal opinion. But the little penny board is not that hard to start with. Its just because when you are using the nickel and going back to the small one, you feel that you have almost nothing under your feet.

I started skating a few weeks ago and I got the little Penny. I struggled a little for about two days but I think I picked up really fast. I can't tell how much I enjoy being out on Brooklyn chilling around skating on my Penny. :)

when i watch tv shows i speed it up 1.5 times so it finishes quicker and i get more time to do other stuff, when i add up the time for like a whole year it saves me literally days
Hey Ben just wanted to say thank you for the Costa Rica videos. Watching your videos helped me in my geography exam where I had to write about how a certain rainforest is being managed. I just wrote about the zip lines and eco tourism in the area. And on the penny board front... penny nickel all the way!!!

I've got the classic penny board and found it easy to ride when I first got it and It was my first time riding a skateboard successfuly so it is easy to learn but the nickel seems more stable
i have size 11 feet but still ride my penny original, it takes a bit longer to get the hang of but after a few weeks you're sorted

3:23 too much nose...i did that this past summer and did a somersault and popped up... I can't feel the board with running shoes. I learned I can only ride in my chuck's.

I'm 'trying' to learn how to skate with a Penny - Stacked it a few times in front of some youth, not the coolest look... Be bad until good, right?
I am horrible at skating four wheel skate boards such as the penny board, but for some reason I can skate on the Rip Stick, I've got one and I love it.
Jet lag can actually cause permanent memory loss. I recommend you too rest some hours before when flying to cope with the time zones and this effect. Cheers

I personally love my penny board , it’s scary to ride for how small it is but I kind of like such a tiny board that goes so fast and smooth . It gets the job done! And it’s super portable omg . But , be careful for the cracks and bumps they can hurt 😢

You're not pushing with the wrong foot, it's that you put your pushing foot at the front of the board instead of the back

I have a Penny 22' inch. And I really, really enjoy riding. And I don't need a nickel. They are both super chil boards. Actually, you can't make a wrong dissision between these smooth boards. I know I spelled disision (or however you spell it) wrong, but I'm from Holland and sometimes I forget how to spell. -,-
is the Penny easy to learn ?

My first ever skateboard is the Penny and I think it's so much fun! I want to try a nickel to comoare the two. But I really like to ride around on it, my mom and dad told me: do you really want it, it's a waste of money. But then I got it for my 15th birthday and they think (mostly my dad) it's so amazing. :)
