Up to him since it's "voluntary," but i think he should come in and help with the young, wide receivers. It would help his team mates, and show the class act that he is.

If it’s me I don’t participate but I don’t show and be a part of the activities with the team. Honestly even if he showed and wanted to participate I’m not sure coaches would let him. Lol

I think it would be really cool of him too show up. And he can kinda get a feel for mccarthy and see if he likes What he sees and him and McCarthy. can start getting on the same page. Get each other's rhythm down.
