Checked Perkz 2019 stats after this. He went 18-3 with Xayah over all that year. That is an insane win rate for an ENTIRE year of play
Perkz was 1v9 in that lb game against RNG, but what is most impressive is that in the same series he did an huge play with irelia that won g2 1 game and was also smurfing on aatrox just like he was on lb. That series is the only reason why I couldn’t believe perkz was going to adc

Ingemar Lilium 😂 best bot laner not adc, LPL ADCs were better than him. His Kaisa/Xayah worse than Uzi, JKL had a better Kaisa. Lwx better Varus/Kaisa. Perkz had top 2 Xayah though. In the end there’s a reason he never walked away with that worlds trophy, as is the case with every loser he wasn’t good enough. Still Western GOAT and happy he can go back to mid lane.

@@ravenmiyagi484 The reason he didn't walk away with the trophy is that FPX literally never left Kaisa and Xayah open (either banned both or first picked one and banned the other), which were the only ADCs able to actually carry in that meta, so botlane ended up being irrelevant and Doinb/Tian hard gapped Caps/Jankos.
L4RK Nah it’s because Perkz wasn’t as good on any other adc. Lwx and the other eastern ADC’s were much better in champs like Varus/Kog/Sivir so they weren’t hit as hard. FPX gapped G2 in every role but top lane. GimGoon was chilling though anyway, was a great weakside player.

Not every game, and it was because it weakened G2, Lwx was better on ADC’s, Perkz wasn’t. G2 didn’t dare use mage bot laners in finals outside of Syndra that was banned, FPX just found G2 out, the other teams failed at that observation. G2 were incapable of using Varus bot lane properly unlike the LPL teams, and Lwx smurfed with Sivir. Perkz was still a top adc that year though, but not as indisputable no.1 as Dom suggests. LPL top 3 ADC’s that year were just as good.
Raven Miyagi they banned both are one if they had first pick, you can literally google this. Perkz was by far the best xayah at worlds that year

Perkz was only flexible with the Syndra pick, when that was banned he was nothing more than a good adc, something Lwx had no trouble matching that year, Uzi Xayah/Kaisa > Perkz Xayah/Kaisa.

E VO Lwx won FPX games against Uzi on RNG. As an ADC, the three LPL representatives were better. Ruler/Deft were too but unfortunately they never made it to worlds
If Perkz manages to win NA and make it out of groups, he would just have to be the best European player ever. Aside from winning the LEC 8/9 times, winning MSI, making worlds finals, he did that while swapping from mid to bot. Winning another region should just mark him as the best even, no question about it..

people seem to forget G2 2019 bot lane was their strongest side by far and there was such a gap between G2 bot lane and the rest + Perkz is one of the main shot callers of G2. G2 2020 weakness is their early game and only the strongest teams could punish them for that, perkz literally switch middle of the year to adc again because capz wasn't good at adc....

Check out the Thorin interview with Jack Eitienne (owner of c9). Perkz is actually taking a pay cut to be in NA and was very particular about wanting to come over to potentially win certainly NA but also world's. I wouldn't call it retirement

Love you, man! You and only YOU can see LEC for what it is. It is true. Perkz was the BEST adc in the world in 2019 and he killed many world class bot laners, just like FNC botlane multiple times. This summer his problem was that he missed Spring season adc experience because of Caps wanting to swap.

That is kinda obvious. He "could". Be we will never know because he went to NA and stayed in NA and will forever be "what if player". Perkz now moved to this territory as well because it will be "what if he stayed in EU and did not go to rot in NA like other worldclass players that went there and achieved nothing". Perkz and caps were both liabilities in their first split as adc to be fair and both got better around MSI, and by the time caps got around to playing ADC, the bot mages and yasuo were nerfed(because of perkz) so Caps didn't have the luxury of playing mid lajers in the bot lane

I mean, you can argue Perkz was best Xayah 2019 (i think Viper was), but Teddy was clearly better at playing yasuo than Perkz, you just have to watch both of them play. Perkz was 1/6 in that 4th game before getting the quadrakill (Caps teleported to the base that fight, he could have probably gotten those kills if he wanted). Skt's problem wasnt in the botlane, thats for sure.

Rekkles is a better adc. If Rekkles go to G2 I belive that is the only western team with no weaknesses. He would complete the team. That would be the all-star team of europe.

I think saying that Caps was a liability when playing adc is just false. You can check his stats for spring season and playoffs, he had the highest dpm in both cases. Yeah he died a lot, teams targeted him for playing a bit too aggressive, that's just his style. He still wasn't a liability, he pumped out damage like no tomorrow.

He talks negative about uzi but that was the year they started playing for other lanes . FNC got the win for rekkles because they camped bot and RNG tried counter ganking for mid and top when they couldn’t carry.

He should have respected Perkz wish to go to FNC. His entire org would profit if they had a real rival and EU in general would have even higher chances to improve and win worlds. G2 with Rekkless/Upset and FNC with Perkz mid would have been great for EU. In a way he betrayed the region and his best player even though he has no legal obligation to allow talks with FNC ofc. But imo EU teams should stick together in these situations. We have been close to winning worlds (excluding S1 FNC world champs ofc) several times and not much is missing. So things like that are just sad for the entire region and for Perkz career/future esp.
I just used DL as an example as he is really valuable in NA (sure not even close to Perkz lvl in direct comparison). There are several owners in NA and EU who allowed negotiations and generally care for players but I dont remember the exact cases.

How do you suppose he'd explain why he gave a GOAT player to his only rival team? "He was a friend of mine and did a lot for the org, so I put his needs above the orgs, even though I am hired to have the teams needs first". That's both unprofessional and against the teams' interest = good reason to be fired.
@@MrDzala Im not quite sure about the exact business position, but sure he might 'only' be a GM. In the end this is not really relevant either way he supports G2 interests.
But if you look at the bigger picture G2 needs a strong region to improve and contest the worlds title. So it is in his own interest to have a strong FNC in Europe. And even FNC with Perkz does not mean that G2 will suddenly be irrelevant. G2 actually has to earn the EU trophy to contest the title at worlds without pressure from FNC they would not be as good as they are now. So even with a pure business perspective its bad to nerf EU if you actually want G2 to win worlds and EU be a respectable region international. And even if another EU team would win worlds and more people watch LEC G2 would profit as well.
And btw Steve is a GM as well and still he made the decision to allow DL to negotiate with TSM. I think the sponsors also profit a lot if the fans actually respect the management and support the org in public by buying merch. What is your merch good for if people dont buy it because they dont want to support the org/management in public.

Perkz might be the best jack of all trades player ever. Obviously, Faker is the best player ever, but Faker never role swapped. Perkz went from being one of the best mids in the world to being the best ADC in the world for a year, and then even though he wasn't nearly as good this year, he was still world class.
I know people think Caps will over take Perkz but I just can't agree. Perkz has done it at worst teams and done it over two roles. Caps can never match that.
