I have your God Roll on my FIRST DROP. Hammer Forged, Ricochet, Slideshot, MagHowl, Range MW. Then I got a Shiny with FullBore, Ricochet, Encore/Slideshot with Precision Instrument/Incandescent. If the Shiny would have had MagHowl instead of Incandescent, I would have cried lol
I can’t hear “shiny” without thinking about Firefly/Serenity any more 😂
4:15 according to the api sites, Enlightened action actually gives more stacks on hand cannons (and possibly bows but doesn't specify?). So even though something like a 600/900 smg will get the perk much faster, Luna will still get 3 stacks per shot (caps at 12 so 4 shots max it I believe?)
Glad to hear someone give Encore some credit. I’m not big on having to consciously be aware of sliding before engagements. I got a shiny with encore/mag with 61 range and a great balance of stability and handling. So far it’s my #1 roll after tons of farming.
Encore is my pick on most weapons that roll with it. It doesn't get enough love.
I’m grinding so much for slide mag and a slide precision roll. Great insight as always. Everyone use icarus for 60 ae on it. I do lose rose though (excited to use ae helmet mods come final shape with it). 100% agree with your god roll

Hey! Loved the video. Personally im going after eye of the storm & kill clip. Not being great with my shots, eye of the storm seems to help me out a lot! But I do think I need to get better at my shots lol Thanks for the info!
jsyk killclip doesn't 2-tap in pvp sadly
mag howl is just a better kill clip. even with 1 stack of mag howl, it has kill clip numbers with the choice of proccing it when you want to

I got a slide + mag howl roll with stability masterwork, but the barrel and mag options set me at either a 51 range 72 stability 50 handling OR 61 range 57 stability 40 handling. Thinking the first option is better but idk. It feels like it doesn't need the extra range.
What have you guys been preferring? Obv godroll is a nice balance of everything, but a lot of us don't have that yet.
Similar experience to onslaught. Lots of fun when it started. Kinda a grind, now. I wish we could reset shaxx and get guaranteed shiny drops from bounties or something…anyway. I have an encore/PI roll with 63 range. The PI really does help compensate for those distances, especially if you are aggressive and push while shooting.
I spent a ton on time grinding and never got the 5/5 Elsies I wanted. I'm hoping to get a max range slide/precision instrument Luna's then I'm going to take a long break from onslaught. I have almost 500 trophies saved up so I hope I can get it with those and just be done.

TV, is there a setting on PC where your ADS FOV is the same or similar to your non ADS FOV? I’m on Series X and keep my FOV at 95-100 but when I ADS it zooms in to the standard FOV and I lose some visibility especially using the Luna’s Howl. Ty bro. 💠🤔

I know you said Desperate Measures doesnt help this weapon but according to D2 Foundry, Desperate measures can 2c1b up to 8 resilience. Which is what precision instrument does but up to 10 resilience. The difference in damage is 10% vs 12.5%.. but otherwise I agree precision and magnificent are the best options.
I got a max range roll late last night with full bore, ricochet rounds, eye of the storm, opening shot and a range masterwork. I’ve yet to use it and I’m gonna try it out in Comp later. Any thoughts if this is one of the roll you should go for. I kinda get the feeling that Luna’s is better suited for specing into lethality, but in dueling I think it could be a good combo.

I have a HC +KC with Full bore Ricochet round and stability MW. Not tried it yet but i need vault space for the others
I got mine with exactly 71 range (healclip/incandescent).
And that was my first random roll drop.
I got a slideshot opening shot with 71 base range. It feels so good. Feels much better than my rose with the same perks.
Got my slide shot/Mag howl roll with a range masterwork, barrel perks are bad, but realistically you really only need to worry about the masterwork+ the 3rd and 4th Column perk since when final shape drops you will be able to change them.

Slideshot Maghowl is awesome im literally missing the mag to make it a five out of five .
I do wish it could roll zen moment on the left perk like not forgotten though, would be a real nice addition
Well Bungie said they'd bring back weapons as best they can so it's very possible not forgotten will return with it's original zen moment perk roll in the future.

It's kind of crazy to me that both Master of Arms and Mag Howl are not the default "you absolutely must get these perks" on the guns that made them a menace.
Seeing as how Bungie gutted Master of Arms to be a worse Frenzy and have reworked Mag Howl 3 different times now, I really just want Not Forgotten to come back as an exotic with its OG version of Mag Howl.
That being said, Luna's Howl with Encore or Enlightened Action + Precision Instrument is absolutely fantastic in pvp. Loving it bunches.
They need to buff madter of arms so it is a 40% or at the bare minimum a 35% buff in pve for it to ever have a place. An for lunas literally giving it back the swcond edition of Mag howl woukd be better than the current one imo. Than it could be used in pve again
@@theveryamericaneagle3657 NF was my go-to PvE handcannon for the longest time when I finally got it. The Mag Howl boosting damage on Crits made it a mini major buster for certain. Next to recluse, NF has the highest kill tracker out of all my PvE weapons.
Glad I'll be able to use it for everything once it's unsunset but that change to Mag Howl essentially means you HAVE to run holster mods if you don't have some way to auto reload to get the most out of it.
Master of arms needs a buff badly, but also recluse an all 900rpm smgs need a flat pve bump. Without desperate measures, the gun feels useless
A version of OG Mag howl is actually what I hope Last Word's catalyst grants in some fashion. A "lore accurate" Last Word would still be able to 2-tap as it could in early-D1.

People seem to forget enhanced guns can have their minor perks and master work changed.

ive been living in onslaught and the closest ive gotten is a non shiny corkscrew, ricochet, slide shot and howl. aaaand a reload masterwork

@@naylor7495 i used to think that. But conditional literally is the ulimate shotgun ape shotgun. Shuts down supers an is insanely forgiving for a pellet shotgun, making it hard to beat imo

You can enhance ALL versions of Brave weapons.
I got a shiny to drop with smallbore, flared, slide/enlightened, mag howl/PI, handling mw. Considering just making this my main since the 5/5 just seems impossible to get with the rng smh

the bad thing about luna’s howl is it goes in the same slot as elsie’s rifle….so luna loses that fight every single time.
the good thing about luna’s howl is the curated roll from doing the quest is plenty good enough so you can keep grinding for the perfect elsie 👍🏼
I put a couple of hundred on my Luna but it is still an auto rifle meta and it's hard work using hand cannons at the min.
Not Forgotten is still well in play for me thanks to ZEN MOMENT (not a fan of mag howl rework though - they had to change it I get that. And it seems solid if you like it. But I get too distracted by mini games). So completely ignoring mag howl, zen moment still makes NF attractive for me.
Luna's Howl has returned and yet we still dont have an exotic arc/void hand cannon

i used luna and realized just how much i hate the 180 feel on mnk. this weapon is 1000000000% a controler weapon
It's a low fov weapon even when no controller.
It's weird on 105 fov, lowered mine for a test for a full game on 95 and it felt better..my opponents that game where better too cause hurr durr lobby balancing so it wasn't a fluke.

Got the non shiny one with Hammer. richocet, slideshot and magnificent howl but bungie kept me from 5/5 by giving me handling masterwork
10:48 When farming Onslaught, don't go to wave50. Just restart after clearing wave1-10 over and over. You still get 2 chests on Legend dropping 3-4 coins and two weapons. You only miss out on the "cleared wave 50" chest, but can fit 6-8 runs into the same time frame, giving you way more drops overall.
If you can clear onslaught with less than 80 minutes you should do 50 waves. If it takes 80 minutes or longer then do 10 waves.
That's the perfect time saving comparison to both methods.
@@theremnants6807 "perfect" except that that math doesn't work out at all. If a group can clear wave 50 in 80mins as you propose, you'd receive a total of 11 chests in that time, or 1 drop for every ~7mins15secs invested. A slow 1-10 run with even bad groups takes about 12mins for two chests, 6mins per drop. You'd have to clear wave50 in under 66mins to match that rate, not 80. And with good groups you can knock out 1-10 in around 10mins, meaning you need an even faster wave50 clear to match.

Perks like desperate measures that take a little extra to proc should be far better then easy proc perks like say kill clip but nope they're usually far worse.
I stopped using sunshot for Lunas howl definitely not as strong for PvE but frees up my exotic heavy for gally or dragons breath or anything else I want to use
Do you own the Lightfall expansion? There's a hand cannon you can get through quests called Epochal Integration. Solar 140 with the tracer rockets origin trait, and the nice synergy of incandescent + stats for all. My fav sunshot substitute by far. Also has keep away + eye of the storm that you can select any time you wanna try it in pvp. Def a fun one.
Even without the perks, the frame itself is a total no-brainer. With an icarus mod you get 60 AE for doing nothing but holding the gun, and the recoil is so, so easy to manage. It's the ultimate "the bullets go where your reticle is" hand cannon.
It's hysterical to me that people were malding just two weeks ago about getting a Midnight Coup for PvP. How utterly ridiculous.
Plus, you can use Luna's Howl with frickin CONDITIONAL FINALITY in Trials.
Just saying there has been talk about not forgotten returning as a comp reward let's hope it's perks are enhancable

I did keep an encore + precision instrument, though.
Encore and precision instrument is the perfect consistency roll as it can make the weapon hit ranges it never would otherwise.
Definitely keep that if you want a good feeling handcannon compared to a kill streak handcannon.

Is SBMM turned off every game mode ? I’ve played for 3 hours today and I have been dropping 48-50 kills on the regular ? Usually I have to run meta builds in my 2.86 kd lobbies lol any one know if it’s been turned off?
There's no such thing as 2.86 KD lobbies. Even players with such high KD consistently match at least 1-2 players with less than 1.0 KD in almost every match.

They should be more than capable of making a 180 that competes within its intended range, or ensuring that reissued 180s can be brought up to parity. With magnificent howl active after the first kill, your ttk would increase. So why not invest in mastering a weapon that requires a little more care to be used for the first engagement but shreds faster than its competitors in subsequent fights?
@The_Ragequit_Cannon well bungie are the ones that balance the game. I Personally want 180 rpm to have a .9 ttk an 140 rpm to have a .8 an be able to two head one body.

My main "Eh, whatever" with Not Forgotten is that god awful handling. At least with Luna's you can sacrifice a little range to fix it.

it's reactive. as in it activates when something happens to you, not when you do something. that's what reactive means.
It’s still a. 140 and outside of austringer and hawkmoon I wouldn’t run a 140 in this meta. It also just feels bad to shoot. Precisions on 140 are just idd

Luna is unquestionably an excellent gun. Still, I can't use it. The low recoil is actually worse for me cause I prepare for the kick that never comes. Props to those that can use it.
Imagine complaining about a weapon with hardly any recoil and preferring the ones that kick to the moon after every shot. SMH
