Finally! Someone using common sense, reality and intellect to explain finger placement!

Thank you. There is no absolute placement. It's different depending on reach and the shooters hand. I hate hearing people preach about some absolute perfect placement when I know, for myself, it can be totally different depending on the pistol.
On a Beretta it's closer to the front end of the pad for me while on my favorite 1911 it's closer to the joint.

Thanks Ernest, great topic. Now get back to work on the new 92 LTT Brigadier. The 92G-SD LTT.

Ernest, Got a 92A1 to customize now. Just ordered 13# HS from your site, and sourced hex screws, custom grips, F8 sights, JM Custom, should do it for now! Until you come out with 92X Centurion LTT by Xmas would be nice. That would be the upgrade to save 5 ounces carry weight and upgrade to a full LTT model w trigger job. I used to use pad, now I'm all between the digits switching to Revolvers and DA/SA as of late is making me a better shooter (and switching over to Appendix carry).

Love this. I intentionally change the position of my trigger finger, switch to off-hand, close my dominant eye and shoot weak-eye, etc. The point is to put the round exactly where I want it under any circumstance. If you practice perfect training when everything is perfect...

Great info. Trying to figure out my trigger finger placement on my Beretta. By the way I love my Beretta 92X Performance. Sexy gun.

Ernest always gives good advice reference shooting I like what he does,,,,just wish he'd take that flag of Tyranny off his shirt which represents Cops staying silent when their 'brothers' do something wrong. Believe me I know as I used to be one of them. Then I could actually purchase and wear one in good conscious.

TDA guns are not the best option for Small hands and short fingers...in any case.

Is there a good way to mount a red dot on a 92?

Depends on the dot. Trijicon makes a mounting plate. There are other options but it works well for RMR and SRO.

I think the big round SRO option looks sexy as hell on a 92 and it gives you a really nice sight picture.
