I used to pick up a lot of beach glass. Maybe it’s a good thing that it’s harder to find now. Thanks for the memories. Cheers!

There is also a beach glass festival every year in Ashtabula Ohio this year it’s around the end of June.

as a kid back in the 60's we use to go to a place called Buffalo Beach, it was north of Angola, we use to take route 5 out of Buffalo, then get on Lakeshore Rd., don't know even if it's there anymore....there was a creek in the picnic area, we'd cross over a little bridge, from the picnic area, you'd have to walk under a 2 story building, when you'd come out, your on the beach. In the picnic area there use to be a slide that wound round, like a spiral. Not sure how old you are Tim, maybe you remember the place? These are just memories from my childhood.

Hi Greg. I didn't get up Buffalo way too often when I was younger so I wouldn't know about Buffalo beach. Thanks for telling us about it though.

You could use a gem tumbler with sand and reasonable fine carborundum to generate a similar beach glass effect on broken glass pieces.

I thought about that but half the fun is going to the beach!

Beach glass tastes way better than normal glass!
