When you say "You" what do you mean exactly? There are two distinct levels of Being, one is finite and the other infinite. So, there is the personal, individual "You" which is known as the false/ego identity, and then there's the divine "You" which is known as the impersonal "I AM" presence or "Self".
The most important realization needed is to recognise that all thoughts describe a narrative about the past and give projections of a future, all this comes from the Ego/false self. Once you realise what you are NOT, then what you ARE is self revealed.
It's Not a skill, a skill is for the mind that wants to learn 'a skill', it's just intellectual knowing. So it's not a skill but a dropping away of the personal mind and a realization of what is already here.. and that is impersonal, effortless Being.
