Disasterpeace - The Apple Palace (original marimba solo)

I'm excited to present a brand-new original marimba solo by Rich "Disasterpeace" Vreeland: The Apple Palace!
As much as I've enjoyed playing video game music on marimba, I've always wondered what the possibilities would be to hear original music on marimba by some of my favorite game composers. I've known (and been a fan of) Disasterpeace for a long time and have always dreamed about being able to performing his music!
I reached out to Disasterpeace to see if he would be interested in spending a week with me at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute to participate in their New Music Initiative, which encourages performers to collaborate with composers at Avaloch Farm to produce new music. Much to my delight, he agreed to work with me there. We spent a week together in July; by the end of the session, he had composed this work for marimba.
Special thanks to everyone at Avaloch Farm (especially Fred Tauber, Deb Scherr, Mike Compitello, Hannah Collins, and Pete Novom) for facilitating the opportunity to bring this piece to life.
