Best guide to mount an action camera, I have seen many videos of popular motovloggers and your video was a compilation and a complete guide. Thanks :-)
There's one tiny mistake to this, if you don't mind me pointing out, the mount shouldn't be placed right in the middle as you can see the camera lens is offset to the left and not in the middle, so to compensate for this you have to place the mount a bit to the right so when you mount your GoPro the lens will be now in the middle and your camera's POV will no longer be offset.
Thanks for sharing. I prefer having it centered cause it otherwise shifts the weight of the helmet towards one side just a lil bit. Either way, if you prefer placing it at the side, you can use the same method. Thanks for the feedback and ride safe.
If you are placing the action camera off-set, it will also alter the line of view towards right. Placing the mount in exact centre would shift the lens to left a bit but the fish eye effect with neutralise it out

Followed this procedure for placing the chin mount on my new helmet ....filed the edges in the end for a good finish and painted the M-seal part with black permanent marker... Looks amazing and the mount also seems solid... Form & Function both 👌

I would like to add one more thing. If the helmet has a front air vent, make sure that the mount is not blocking its open position. Like when we slide it open, the mount shouldn't block the shutter. I hope everyone will understand what I'm trying to say.

Completely agree. I however have removed the switch on my RPHA11 pro cause it doesn't allow the mount to be placed . Mumbai being as hot as it is most of the year, I prefer having that vent open throughout.

Perfect, No matter what u do, when its 48 degrees celsius, the tape melts like butter & u gonna lose ur setup, i lost twice, so now i use zip ties & strap, they are the permanent solution!!!

Bro thank u for this video I used this method to fix the mount on my revolt helmet. I bought the helmet 3 months back and was not using for touring because there was no space to mount go pro in the chin and with this method it worked perfectly.
Great video Iggy. Also helps to heat the 3m tape with a lighter before sticking it to the m seal and helmet . Heat kind of activates the glue on the tape for a even stronger bond. .

Amazing. Bond by Araldite is way stronger than 3m. So after applying Araldite to the mould you can fix it to the helmet and strap tightly using masking tape. Anyways. Great video !!!👍👌
That should work as well though you would have to be very careful. The 3m tape process can be corrected if you make a mistake. Not too sure about the araldite. Thanks for watching and commenting :) Ride safe.

2 years before I mounted first by sticking only 3m pad to helmet and then stick mount with 3m pad above that 3m pad, but at edges there was some gap....after 2 years I fill it with Silicon Gasket maker 😂
