    This band feels like a fever dream. Sometimes I have to remind myself that Freddie Mercury was real. That this band was made of real people, and not a bunch of mystical beings sent from the heavens to grace us with their songs. And as for this song, just... Wow. It's theatrical, catchy, in an unconventional way. The way Freddie and Roger used their voices to imitate kazoos and woodwinds, and thimbles to imitate the sound of tap-dancing is insane. There will never be another group of artists like these four.

    I first heard this in about 1982 when I was a teenager and had just bought the album. I vividly remember listening to it on a pair of crappy headphones on a crappy stereo system (that's all we had back then), but even given the sonic limitations this was astonishing to listen to. Then I listened to the rest of the album 💕 Ridiculously talented

  • @Lapofthegods
    @Lapofthegods Před 2 lety +8

    Freddie’s talent was out of this world, we have lost a legend 😞 and as Roger said Freddie had never read a book in his life and was amazed at his extraordinary brain and where he came up with vocabulary and ideas for his songs with such a big imagination! Roger said him & Freddie went into the recording studio and started messing about with the tools around them for this song. One of my favourite songs Freddie made, french words,English gentleman accent,finger tapping, give us a kiss at the end it’s just sensational 🎤🎹❤️👑
