2022 Universal Treasures Basketball HUNT FOR THE 1986 FLEER MICHAEL JORDAN ROOKIE!!!

- Hi All,
If you're reading this please be warned it contains spoilers... spoilers so bad much like the spoiled box of cardboard they sold me for $459 off Time Machine Sports Cards website. Did I pull the 86 Jordan rookie!??! Well no but I did have a chance of the sticker... which I didn't pull either. But surely 87 has 2 Jordan's so me pulling one of those is possible and again my plans were foiled. Lucky 1988 produced a classic Jordan card similar to the movie Young Guns which I was lucky enough to add to my collection BUT these jackasses provided a damaged card unlike previously mentioned classic Young Guns. No, I didn't pull the sticker or All-Star card from there. 1989 also showed promise in providing me the All-Star card which was naturally off center... a time machine staple. Lastly 1990 Fleer the worst of the years mentioned and easiest to find which I assumed I would land and land I did! Unfortunately, the card I received was the Troll 2 of quality... the card was creased AND torn. I knew going in I would land less than a PSA 10 equivalent but I really didn't think they would be despicable enough to give me such sh!t quality cards.
Overall I do enjoy the variety of cards I typically land BUT at this price tag I give them a 2/10 rating.

I agree! I didn't expect 10s but that was ridiculous. I should have sent them an email but I didn't think it would matter to them. Instead I shared here for others tempted to buy.

Was actually thinking of buying this product. Went to their website. Nice stuff. But then I see what they do on their re-packs and I'm like: Nah! Think ill pass!
Smart move! Lol I was very disappointed with this box but maybe others had good luck. At the price for basketball I wouldn't recommend it.
I think people have to realize with ALL repacked wax, universal treasures etc. They NOT going to put their best cards into these. I've had repacked wax do the exact same thing, bad conditions and or horrific centering. The fun factor is there but if you want a PSA worth something buy factory packs

Definitely agree! I don't mind repacks but had unfortunate luck on the condition. I'm hopeful mine is a 1 off and nobody else had to deal with the quality issues.
New sub here, started watching your Chasing Jordan series. I was opening a pack and had that rim shot sound effect you had in your vids in my mind as I was opening and sure enough I pulled a Jordan lol.

Sorry about your luck man. Your frustration is warranted. Those NBA boxes are way overpriced for what you get out of them. I'm sticking with baseball!! Thanks for sharing and I hope the football box is better to you
thanks! and yes I do like the baseball boxes and they are reasonably priced. Last box I purchased the cards were off center but definitely crisp.

Lol definitely wasn't ready for those. I didn't mind striking out on the 86 but was frustrated about the quality of the others.

Thanks! This one hurt for sure but other videos seem to have better luck so I don't want to totally hate on these guys. The product is fun and the price on baseball and football are pretty good. I'll avoid basketball from them though.
in 2030 and beyond, the only packs will be repacks of old vintage NBA cards. Keep the original packs as they will become scarcer and scarcer, more valuable. The novelty of opening an original pack from the 1980/90s will be great nostalgia.
Definitely would love to grab some sealed basketball packs at REASONABLE prices now but it's crazy. I have some Hoops, Skybox, Upper Deck saved but that's all the mass produced they couldn't give away until 2020.

It's frustrating they offer chase cards so I would expect better condition, not a 10 but 8+ for sure. I didn't contact them instead I'll just stop purchasing from them. For Basketball I believe it was $450

Lol 😆 yep! If you buy a case of 10 they guarantee 1 but it's probably a PSA Authentic quality based on this experience.

Sometimes it's fun in hopes of landing a big chase card but these are overpriced so I wouldn't recommend them.
All of those Fleer sets through that era were so poorly cut anyways...even if you're pulling sharp cards their centering is mostly ass...bummer about the Jordans you pulled though man...especially the 1990...there's no excuse for a card to be packed with a massive crease through it...good vid anyway dude...

That's weak that they charge 500$ for a box and they can't even put decent shape MJs. They don't have to be gem mint cards but they shouldn't have big creases in them....that's wack. I wouldn't buy this product. Would buy those 3-4th yr MJ cards from eBay for that cost🙄
I could have possibly bought his 2nd year at that price!! The 1990 Fleer was creased and ripped... if you're interested I will sell it to you for $500 LOL

Lol same look, different value. I currently have a reprint in the collection until I pull the trigger on a low grade PSA rookie. Done with these basketball until they lower the price.

@@jamesvozar1 I saw a couple overpriced at the card show a few weeks back but soon enough I'll aim to land the sticker and then the Nike promo cards. All graded off course since I keep getting burned.

They're repacks of vintage cards. I just cannot fathom your surprise here. Like what did you expect? These kinds of products are literally made for suckers that they're gonna stick a PSA 9 worth hundreds in there...

$459 of my hard earned dollars!!! At that price I can MAYBE get the sticker... even a PSA 1 is over $1k. Hoping to land one at a card show soon. Apparently my scissors aren't good enough yet, they have been scissor shamed hahaha

The hope was a PSA 1 1986 rookie not a PSA 1 1990 mass produced card, at least give NM-MT for that crap card
400 or 500 dollars for this?! Horrible, for what amounts to be about 20 dollars of junk wax basketball cards in terrible condition. Whoever is selling these is horrible and just scamming the people heavy duty. You can buy every card in those packs for a quarter, and you could buy every Jordan you just pulled for a dollar on ebay and they would easily be in better condition. But this box is horrible. You could buy a raw 86 Jordan for 500, Easily. And It wouldn't be graded but who cares. It will be in your PC. There are guys out there that hold 100s of Jordan rookies. They were highly printed. They are just highly demanded. But back to this 500 dollar scam box. I feel bad for ya man. This is bad. Gotta be careful what and where you buy. I imagine if you can spend five hundred dollars on this that you could save up enough money in the course of a year to buy the Jordan you want. If you really want it that bad.
I completely agree! I was hoping to land a Jordan 86 or 87 for $500 and odds are it wouldn't be a fake but nope they gave me a lot of garbage for $500. I said before if this was $100 or so it would have been easier to deal with... definitely a rip off! On a side note I pulled the trigger on a 1986 Fleer set without the Jordans so I'm fairly close to getting there lol
