Lovely haul! Definitely got a lot for your money! I shop mainly in Aldi and I can’t fault their quality and prices especially on fruit, veg and milk lasts me for over a week. The only downside is you can’t get everything you need there! ❤
I agree, the quality is great at out local store. If only they had a free from section I’d be sorted! And I wish they sold dried beans / pulses too xx

Bean sprouts do freeze
The problem with doubling up your order, you get lots of duplicates

I found your channel a few weeks ago and love your videos. I only ever got one Starbucks magic bag and wasn't impressed. Tried to snag a Morrisons one but they always cancelled them. I recently discovered the Olio app where people give away food and other items. Some of them collect reduced food from supermarkets and give it away. In my area it seems to be from Iceland and Tesco. I got a whole lot of pastries the other week and froze them. On a side note... you taught me how to make fried rice by putting the soy sauce on the rice for half an hour before making it... game changer! 😊
The egg fried rice trick was a game changer for me too 😊 that’s a shame the bags in your area aren’t great. There’s so much variation between stores. I have Olio but sadly there never seems to be much on it in my area. I’ve given away a few non food items on there though xx

Bean sprouts are great ! Here in Canada we make a fake Chinese meal: fry sliced onions and finely sliced celery til soft add some frozen peas and then a Chinese style sauce of your choice: either premixed or you’re own-next the bean sprouts just till they’re soft. Now add a precooked protein -your choice-the easiest is mince but anything works. Finish with sliced almonds or cashews and spring onions- no noodles no carbs no gluten lots of yum!

Wow 😲 what a fantastic haul 😊😊 Aldi here don't do the boxes. Plus I agree with you, you can freeze anything even bean sprouts as I know you can buy frozen stir fry with them in so what is the difference 🤔😅....

Great haul. I'm gluten intolerant, so I know how difficult it can make life. The cod looks lovely, I buy basa that's very similar but much cheaper. My dog loves tongue, she gets little bits as a treat.
I normally buy bass fillets too, the cod was a nice treat 😊 I wish Aldi sold more gluten free stuff regularly! Xx
Aldi are a bit hit and miss aren't they. Some weeks you can be lucky, then you go and look for something you've bought previously only to see they've stopped selling it. Co-Op have a lot of nice gluten free fish products. Have you tried their fish cakes? I can highly recommend these. x@@mumthings

Not recommended apparently 😓 for the same reason spinach isn’t a good idea. It can affect calcium absorption xx

Nice bunch of food! Can you cook Korn things in the air fryer? I think they would be palatable with a curry or Thai sauce. Also, please, do watch out for the food police...would miss you if you were taken away. (with much affection from The Tortoise!)
I think they’d cook great in the air fryer, haven’t tried it yet but I will! I think I need a good lawyer… my freezer is full of questionable decisions 🤣 xx

Fab boxes. I freeze fresh transcripts and just put them in stir fried for last few minutrs. They are fine.
