I had the privilege of seeing Billy perform this live... he's honestly so damn talented. I feel like sometimes talent is lost on the listener behind all the distortion and crazy effects of many genres, so you just have to look deeper. All it took was for Billy to play some acoustic instruments to really change the way I view his work and music in general.

One of my favorite songs on Ogilala (Zowie and Mandarynne are also very very beautiful), it's so nice hearing your voice be a bit more tender again, I guess this is a good mix of your "technically correct" vocals you've been doing since Zwan and the emotionally touching imperfect old style. I'm still hoping for a full return circa MCIS/Adore but I respect whatever path you and your sound choose to go down. This video is quite pretty and interesting. Thank you for more undeserved gifts to humanity Mr. Corgan.
Bryan Pope well said. It's obvious Billy wants to be recognized for new material and not live in the past. I've heard him discuss this issue of being creative, keeping up in today's times, evolving. It's a challenge i suppose for the artists from my fav genre, Alt Rock 90s,to feel authentic and sincere while presenting an image. Thus far, we've had amazing talent, but have lost too many artists to depression and addiction. Maybe it's supposed to be that way..it just is

AA Qayan omg..I also hit that dark patch when music did not interest me. Bumping into a few artists at the airport, I became inspired again, realizing our greats from the 90's have died. The few we have left are creating. Proof in this vid. Loss of family prompted me to music also. I have heard 3 musicians state in interviews they are more inspired when in a depressed state. I needed this so much, didn't know it until I heard it. Great artists bring something fresh with each stage of life. It's okay to love the classics from Smashing Pumpkins- they were amazing. I appreciate the perspective Billy (William) has brought to his listeners. It's hard to put into words- but it was a gift sent from above as far as I'm concerned.

Your essence shines so loudly in your lyrics, the melodies, your misunderstood persona, and it has resonated with this girl since you serenaded my wake up one morning on my clock radio in late summer of 1995, my 1st yr of law school and living in Chicago....I cannot pick the perfect words to even describe it....I've never woke up so euphorically peaceful...1979 played and I didn't move until the song ended, almost like a dream you were aware you were in, but didn't want that awareness to end the space you were in....timeless, existential, and it never has happened again to me. So thank you. I have been enjoying your gifts thru your music ever since. 💞

I've seen the Pumpkins over a dozen times. I just saw Billy on this solo tour two nights ago at the Herbst in San Francisco. Other than the two shows I was fortunate to see in July 2007 during the Pumpkins' "residency" at The Fillmore, this was the best Corgan led show I have seen. 1st set is Ogilala in full, 2nd set is a mix of Pumpkins, Zwan, covers, etc. All on acoustic guitar or piano (with some impressive harmonica), no accompaniment, just Billy. Go see this tour, it is truly incredible.

About two months ago I first heard this song and thought it was okay, almost leaning to disliking it. But it crept up on me, and I kept on feeling like listening to it. At this point, I've listened to it about 4-5 a day for the last couple weeks. What a beautiful piece of music.
@FAST & BULBOUS couldn't agree more, I used to sometimes find his music jarring the first couple of listens but something always draws you back in. Like you need to understand his songs as whole and they just get better and better
